Cool lesson and story, man! Wish I could've met Billy Gibbons like that, from interviews and such he seems like a very cool fellow who really appreciates his fans.

Also Gibbons was sort of one of the first blues guitarists I got into, he's great, he's a blues man, but with a lot of stuff that's unique to him.

But the scales are the same, as they are the same notes on both electric and acoustic.

you don't have to learn all five positions. positions 1, 3, and 5 cover most of the notes on the pentatonic. Just search it on google. I recommend learning the extended scale if you don't know it already.
