Ok so for the the little kids out there watching this clip, in countries like eroupe, it is not required to have two reverse lights. As a mater of factor if you look at the eroupean 370z it has a reverse light in the middle of the bummer at the bottom, the us version has a plastic cap there, there where moved up to thee tail lights.

not reall, they had tire feathering issues, but not on every car, and some models had a few tranny issues, but its not common, and niether was a major problem, like you know, a faulty switch that causes the car to burst into flames *cough* ford*cough*
