  • Sounds like the USA's 5"/54-62. Looks like the 100's got a higher rate of fire. Rapid rate's what, something like 28 rpm? The 5" fires 16-20 rpm

  • Birthday present mom I'm two lol

  • I WANT ONE!!

  • So, basicly this is a video of Chuck Norris' cock.

  • So, basicly this is a video of Chuck Norris' cock.

  • The universal symbol for,"GET THE F*CK OFF MY LAWN!"

  • god. imagine that thing shot you in the soft bit on the back of your knee, damn that`d sting

  • how does this fire the rounds? are they in a sort of clip put into like an auto loader/ feeder?

  • @TommyC311291 It uses a hoist to lift the rounds into an intermediate 35-round magazine, where they are automatically loaded into the gun one after another. The ammo capacity of each gun system is 600 rounds.

  • @Spartan043 cheers bud :)

  • Holy shit look at those shells

  • holy fuck i'd say he hit the Banshee camper

  • @RealPilotFSX God, I hate that thing. The other day, I was playing a game on a Forge World variant, and somehow, the enemy team had snagged BOTH BANSHEES. Every time I spawned, I instantly got two Fuel Rods to my head. I wish I had this cannon.

  • i want those casings D:

  • Let the bass cannon kick it!

  • I have 34 of these for sale on ebay :)

  • Knock Knock

  • "How many kilometers it projectile hits"?

  • @fabriciobrisola1 The 16in cannons on the Iowa class battleships have an accurate range of about 22miles. The 8in guns of the Des Moines class heavy cruisers have almost identical ranges. As this is a 4in gun...expect it to have roughly the same range errered to the short side because of the smaller powder charge

  • @dsoutherngent1 really cool. for real .. 22 miles away is considered enough for a tank cannon .... 'M-1' his cannon has the same accuracy

  • hahah piece of shit, french and german ships are fucking shit, rust buckets, 1 nimizts carrrier could take em all out.....sorry i just wanted to act like a american for a bit, nic vid mate

  • dear santa...

  • Chuck Norris calls ,he wants his toothbrush back

  • the french navy used it agains libya: about 100 target and 3000 shots

  • @wwwtotalitaerde ummm... you're a lunatic. please don't ever have children, or even approach one for that matter.

  • @JohannWendt In this case you may want to have a look at channel 18BND88

This is about German snitchers abroad undermining the local society to drain as much wealth as possible.

  • y cant America get that gun on their destroyers

  • @TheHardrock000 because we have better guns already

  • i want that on a tank!

  • It looked like two shells were ejected for every shot.

  • I wish a tank can fire that fast lol

  • Looks like Chuck Norris's shotgun

  • @gathersteel no thats what happens when chuck norris spits

  • Sins wanneer praten de belgen frans op de schepen??

Vlaams/ Nederlands is toch de hoofd taal in belgie.

Waar is de Belgische militaire haven noorde of zuiden?

  • @zwartje66100 Beste taalgenoot.

  • my god 100mm rapid ? O___O absolutely win

  • Are these cannons used for assaults on other ships? Or for on land bombardment? If these ships are decommissioned, what other ships is the french navy using? Do they have the same battery as this?

  • @chica476 used for anti air, anti ship and naval gun support. This ship was Belgian Navy. French Navy use now same concept but a modernised version of this canon

  • @InTerBrew You sure? I heard they got rid of it to save weight and instead got bigger props so they could run away faster.

  • @InTerBrew So does the French "modernized" version project and wave a white flag when fired?

  • @tuts40

French Marine use special amunition to shot the stupidity out from the idiots like you...if it's not enough, whe fire a Exocet, another "French shit" weapon...

  • @InTerBrew ANTI-AIR?! What are you trying to shoot a fucking airship??? 100mm Cannon on anything the size of a fighter seems useless unless you actually manage to hit it, Although there is helicopters but still anti air?

  • @ionkill43 A 100mm shell with proximity fuse and a sophisticated fire control computer (including the variations in muzzle velocity, wind, time to target, etc... calculations) is very effective

  • @InTerBrew Sounds hella expensive, How much does one round cost?!

  • @ionkill43 O'hey bro, ever heard of flak?

  • @ionkill43 picture it shooting buckshot at a plane lol

  • @ionkill43 ever heard of flak?

  • @chica476 Anti-everything

  • @chica476 Who gives a shit what the cheese eating surrender monkeys have left

  • @brucegor no shit. The French navy's vessels have a very fast reverse speed, and a tight turning radius so they can get the hell out of the fight and run away really quick.

  • @chica476 they can use the cannons for both land and sea targets, most new ships these days use mainly missle weapons, thou sum have actual rapid fire cannons, with fire at a higher rate than this.

  • Put that thing on a tank :D automatic cannon o.o

  • Nice rapid fire, what`s the max range on this baby?

  • I miss the American battleships and their 9 inch guns. Too bad they got decommissioned.

  • @eagleye116 most US battleships had 14" and 16" guns

  • 800 mm minigun!!!!!!!

  • look at the size of those shells

  • @luisRRR69 the perfect size for those pirate boats :D

  • Fire 50cm shells this fast.

  • Nato exercise; what ? shooting shells in a spread out pattern ?

The barrel is not exactly kept at a fixed location...

  • rabble... rabble rabble rabble.... rrrmumble.... *gaping jaw*

  • they are at sea!!! their was wind?

  • thats awesome don,t mess with belgians

    1 belgish cannon

    2 german weapons

  • That thing is serious fucking business.

  • fucking auto cannon

  • the basic message = not to be fucked with

  • yeah.....i just came a little

  • now thats a big ass gun D:

  • That taught those stupid birds...

  • @aggressivegeek LOL... good call :)

  • It's a pity that is not Christmas, Santa, please...

  • I would like to have one of those shells lol

  • omg

a single land based unit of this could replace an entire 105mm battery !

  • @moicced A 105mm battery? Who has 105mm batteries in the 21st millenium?

You've been playing a WW2 computer game again, haven't you? and think that 105mm is a big gun in the world of artillery ;)

In today's world 105mm is a small gun on a tank, or a fast shooting auto canon on a small warship.

  • @SolarMichael

well considering that every NATO country currently use 105mm guns and that im an actual gunner on a Canadian C3 Howitzer...

id say that you are wrong...

Get something else to do that trying to do the smartass youtube whore

  • @moicced Hey.. no need to get all worked up about it, and result to bad language :)

I took a look at the C3, and I stand corrected. I hadn't thought that any civilized country still used such relics. My country certainly don't. 105's are only to be found on some of our older main battle tanks.

Does Canada also use trebouchets and balistas?

  • Don't mess with the Belgians..

  • @locoawise well yeah, these ships are already decomissioned

  • @InTerBrew Why? Whats wrong with it XD Looks in pretty good working order to me..... Il take it... Any bids?

  • @locoawise don't mess with the dutch navy. they have always had the most sophisticated radars, fire support, and anti-missile weapons. we can see a missile launch in eastern-russia from holland, without our radar being at full power.

  • holy shit.

  • Those are sum BIG ass shells.

  • it is good against missiles?

  • Sweden= Look! aah! ja! Wi haven here die 57MM Bofors!

Italy=MAMA mia yousa calling that gun? Hesa wie have 76MM OTO Breda rapido!

France= Mais mon ami's, here, ici, we have our 100MM Rapide cannon

US= euhm we have euhm.........euhm....... that sweden stuff we imported

  • This a Belgian Navy ship type F-71 fregate. The gun is 100mm creuse loire.

  • I am guessing German, cause I thought they were speaking German that built this??

  • @MrBritdog2 French Gun 100mm Creusot Loire

  • @InTerBrew

    woo woo wasoon

  • @MrBritdog2

This is a Mongolian Navy ship , they were speaking Mongolian

  • @MrBritdog2 belgian navy

  • @MrBritdog2 They're Belgian.

  • @MrBritdog2 they were speak dutch. The two official languages of Belgium are French and Dutch along with German only spoken in an inner onclave......

  • That's the French gun right? That's an awesome gun. That rate of fire is much faster than the US 5in.

  • the US 5in is a bigger gun. thts why its faster.

thts like saying the Bofors 40mm has a better ROF than a Mk7 16in naval gun

  • why dont they get this on a tank

    oops to big

  • now THATS home defense, lol

  • Are you alowed to take the empty shells home?

  • @snooper549 if you can carry them.....

  • I Wish i can Own one of these!!!! Lol

  • love big guns

  • thats pretty

  • Comment removed

  • @stevenbitter Ze hebben wel hetzelfde wapensysteem als in dit filmpje.

  • ooo my God..

  • At what?

How fast it's firing or how fast it turns back?

    Fear what aims quickly.

  • Thats impractical, putting an automatic 120m l44 on a tank such as the abrams. how can the tank sustain all that energy being released. it is also dangerous because of bio hazards. The tank may not be able to filter out all that bio waste. All tanks have a sort of vaccum that gets rid of the toxic fumes after firing, to keep the crew safe, but may not be able to deal with so much of it. it would need to be a big tank making it a big target, making it slow and heavy. ; )

  • ok smarty pants i wasnt that serius but yah true but im sure it will happen soon

  • haha, thanks. i just cant think of a reason why any one would need such a monstrosity, unless we go to war with North-Korea. Be pretty expensive too.

  • North Korea in my opinion has what i like to call "Big Dick Syndrome"; and as a few Norway friends proved and pointed out, camera have been snuck into North Korea... and believe it or not, but their massive army is actually the smallest army in the world, or one of the smallest, they hide behind their own wikipedia posts and rumors that they started... very successful at the rumors though but if you look hard enough you see the truth :p

  • ah, never knew that, i watch too much news then, haha.

  • what?

  • i was joking around saying lets put this on a new high tech tank or something

  • hey lets add 20mm and put this thing on a tank huh?

  • lol

  • i fuckin love it

  • Damn thats a big ass mo fo

  • lookks like the thing in my pants but much smaller jk way bigger just kidding just rite

  • look's like the thing in my pants but much smaller, jokes way bigger, just kidding just right?

Vcast0912 is that what you were trying to say??

  • i think thats like the thing in his ass lol

  • Could someone tell me the name and class of this ship?

  • Wielingen class?

  • yep ;)

  • Hey if you put these on oil ships I don't think we would have a pirate problem anymore

  • Can you mail me one of those shells please? LOL 5 stars. No seriously can you?

  • just go to a military surplus they have stuff like this without the gun powder and fuse and stuff like the ammo my dad got me a round from an M1 Abrams and a pineapple grenade at mickeys surplus here! :)

  • man since ww2 was over ship armament has gone so small!! from 16 inches now to bloody 5 inches,100mm etc. They should make a stealth battleship with armament of cruise missles,16 inch main battery and more importantly for our poor sailors a ship board hooters restaurant.

  • Why?

Take the Iowa class battleship, put it against say a Halifax class frigate

    Iowa has 9 16" guns

    Halifax has 1 57mm gun

The halifax with its agility and high speed would outmaneouver the 16" guns, and unload say 10 rounds of high explosive rounds on the bridge before the Iowa can load its 16" shells. now what?

    Battleship days are overwith.

Nowadays its hightech munitions in small versatile guns, and missiles and CIWS's

  • Well as long as you equip a ship like he mentioned just with the most modern technology it'll be great. Give the modern battleship SAMs,SSMs, CIWS and more importantly smart munitions and nuclear tipped rounds, make it nuclear powered and you set.

  • Nuclear tipped rounds?

Yeah ok... ummm are you stupid?

Do you realize the environment, social, and legal reprecussion's to using a nuclear tipped round for a main gun?

You should probably rethink what you just said because the only thing "nuclear tipped rounds" are going to get you is exponentially growing hatred towards you.

  • Yeah low yield nuclear-tipped bunker killers. Sometimes your garden variety Bunker Buster won't knock out a super-hardened bunker. As long as it's close enough you can blow the bunker a whatever your target is to hell. And one or two nuclear blasts at sea (like if you were shooting a nuclear-tipped shipkiller) would hardly do anything to the enviroment in the grand scale of things.

  • Actually, the US Navy had Nuclear shells for the Mark 7 gun.

  • Which Mark 7?

  • Sorry, I meant to say the 16-inch / 50-caliber Mark 7 naval guns.

  • I didn't know that. I knew we a few land based gun capable of lobbing a nuke but didn't the 16-inch Mark 7 could do it. What was it's yield?

  • The W23 shell had a yield between 15 and 20 kiloton.

It entered service in 1956 and retired in 1962.

Surprisingly, the US Army kept using nuclear shells until 1992.

  • Interesting: if you suppose bullet weight equal to bore^3 and equal bullet speed, and take the official sustained rate of fire you get the picture of delivered mass of missiles:

    127 30 61451490 68%

    100 90 90000000 100%

    76 150 65846400 73%

    57 220 40742460 45%

    40 400 25600000 28%

  • Any shell under 8 inchs would do absolutely nothing to most WWII battleships. you seriously need to be joking if you think a 100 mm round can even leave a dent on a battleship, such a round could hardly harm a heavy cruiser. As well whats to stop a modern day battleship from having a firing rate similar to this frigate? No country builds battleships anymore but if they did i'm sure the mechanisms that are used in these guns would be implemented onto the main guns of a battleship.

  • So you think a spread of armor piercing fin stabilized high explosive formed penetrator rounds would not penetrate armor?

one of these shells into the bridge, what would happen? oops... no more battleship brain

  • Thats exactly what i mean these shells werent made to go through over a foot of steel.

  • yeah i know what your saying and i agree

but the thing with small munitions is you can put them within say, an inch of where you want them

so a frigate could put a high explosive shell thorugh the window of the bridge of an Iowa battleship, and its rendered brain dead

then i guess a few shells at the communication array and radars would take out their eyes and ears

sure it wouldnt sink, but why sink an incapacitated ship killing hundreds of men unless your Israeli?

    USS Liberty anyone?

  • They can actually be that precise? But, dont forget what would stop a fully modern battleship from firing as rapid and as precise as a modern frigate? I dont see why they wouldent implement these technologies, and these mechanical systems onto a battleship?

  • hmm now you have a good point.

If they could put automatic loading systems like they have below deck for the smaller guns, with no men loading huge shells then it might be able to fire quicker. but i think heat build up is the issue there

although, a 16" smart projectile flying out to 100km would be... umm NASTY to say the least, especially if they could increase the fire rate to even 10-20 RPM, just pure nastiness!!

  • Hah, at that rate the water around the battleship will begin to boil. They'd need extensive cooling systems to keep the barrels from overheating.

  • Easy enough to do, cool it like you would a racing motor... Sea water! nice frigid sea water going in, cooling, and then coming back out, its enough to keep a 7000 rpm speedboat motor cool, which can melt headers just by revving a few times, it may handle these guns

  • Sounds like a good idea, hah we sound like a team of engineers designing a modern battleship with the way this convo is going about. I think though the only problem with a modern battleship would be ammo, imagine how quickly all those shells will go with such a quick firing rate.

  • damn u figured me out. Mechainical engineer, with 7 degrees as a weapons engineer, lol i no alot about this stuff

  • Lol, i'm in currently in college and mechanical engineering and bio engineering is my major.

  • Il tire des frites ?

  • What's the name of the cannon?

  • Creusot-Loire 100mm

  • do they sell mini versions to attach to my car?

  • @DarthMeg I'm finding one also if there's any LOL

  • Daaaamn

  • holy-terrorist:> cool use for (atak w@r montreal)

  • AWESOME !!!!

  • :0 is this sped up ? if not we gotta put this thing op a leoprd 2 ;)

  • Thats the same rate of fire on a WW2 '88' Flak gun.

  • Same rate maybe, but accuracy is the key in marine. Plus durability in salty water.

  • how is it the same rate of fire? the 88 you have to reload after each shot. consider it a bolt action with a one round magazine against a semi-auto

  • I don't know about the 88, the Bofor was smaller but the key benefit of the WWII Bofor was it didn't use bolt action and it had an analog computer aiming system. Not saying this isn't a good gun, but they need to give more info to say why it's quantifiably better than a WWII system. My guess is the ammo has a mid flight correction capability, but they don't say that.

  • ww2 ammo has a flight correction capability? i dont think so. the top secret technology of the war for those shells were sensor fuses. the army and marines are just now getting into the gps guided munitions. as for the .88 being bolt action that was just a metaphor. i believe the 88 has auto eject, but you have to load a new round each time still

  • No, sorry about that, I meant to say perhaps the gun in the video has flight correction and that was only a guess on my part. I was just trying to say it isn't clear from the video what this gun has that makes this gun better, that's all. WWII Bofors didn't have flight correction, but they did have was an analog computer aiming system that automatically measured the direction and speed of the target so the operator didn't have to lead the target when lining up his shot.

  • This is Wikipedia's description of the WWII Bofor's aiming system, not very high tech. "The gun was also notable due to its advanced sighting system. The trainer and layer were both provided with reflector sights for aiming, while a third crew-member standing behind them "adjusted" for lead using a simple mechanical computer. Power for the sights was supplied from a 6V battery."

  • eh i dont think it was computerized. we didnt have a big computer thing back then, and the mainstream/functionable computers didnt develope until 70s or 80s. idk

  • The rate of fire with this French-made Creusot-Loire 100mm canon is 100 rounds per minute maximum. It can do more, but they were afraid the upper structure of the ship would fail :)

  • idk about that, the deck doesnt look too unsteady. as for the french....i didnt know they had anything more than bb guns and wine corks XD

  • i wonder if i can fit one of those on my car hahaha

  • Damn...

  • COOL
