she is just putting them in her mouth to keep them safe thats what i know because thats what i had thats so the other cichlids will not really EAT them so she is not eating them just to tell you :)

hi! i have 2 females cichlid keeping their eggs in the mouth. should i keep the babies inside their mouth or i take the babies out from their mouth??

She probably had to many eggs in her so she just released them and eat them...

@AvatarKid4 no thats what all cichlids do to help them be sfe they grow up in there and then spits them out when they are old enough but make sure u have LOTS of hiding places or else she WILL eat them

@ilovepuppies312 oh i know that but in this video the cichlid probably did that cuss she had to many eggs and was wanting to be a parent but there was no male so she probably just eat them!

i dont have a male yet, she just started laying eggs. I have several other cichlids in the tank, but there was no obvious male mating with her. I dont think any will hatch, the next day she started eating regularly again. At least we know she's a female now...
