@viktorgoa Yes, you can grow diamond, but it requires very different conditions to growing KDP. Diamonds are made of elemental carbon, which is not soluble in most solvents, and it is energetically preferable to form graphite-like structures at normal pressures and temperatures. You generally need very high temperatures and pressures to form diamonds, which is why synthetic diamonds are difficult to make.

Where's the rest of the information? At the National Ignition Facility? What in the heck is that? What do they do with the pyramid at the top of the crystal? How does this work that the laser beam transmits to target's? What targets? How does a crystal power a space ship? I know it does, I just want to know how this works? Why is a crystal a transmitter? Can we do this at home or is it a secret in the interest of national security?
I don't know, but I can guess: With a stationary solution, crystal growth will deplete the concentration of dissolved salt in the immediate vicinity of the crystal relative to the bulk solution, causing crystal growth to slow. Mixing the solution maintains the average concentration of dissolved salt in all parts, including at the crystal surface. The concentration of salt at the crystal's surface will still drop, but not as fast. Rotation of the crystal has the effect of stirring the solution.
That crystal is very impressive ! Make a rotation of all the container while growing it seems to work as well ! I must be humble now with my alum pyramids, thank you for posting it
I didnt know Tommy Chong was into growing crystals hehe.-

Isn't that actually deuterated KDP?

@viktorgoa Go ahead and look up what a diamond is, and is not. Go ahead. I'll wait here while you realize you are a complete dipshit.

What is amazing is how fast the crystal must grow to get that large in such a short time!

@ouivalerie I have the same exact questions but would also like to know can this crystal be used to get girls?

I think I would like to experiment with crystal growing.

That is the most amazing crystal! WATER CLEAR! I laugh because KDP is fertilizer. FERTILIZER!!

i wonder what that crystal is worth
kpshc707 2 years ago
at least labor, materials including electricity, and a moderate 20% profit on top ;)
Then there is supply and demand and rareness. Like the reason they keep diamonds and gold out of circulation to keep the prices high.
It does add up... but as you say, what's it worth.

Anybody know why rotation accelerates the growth process?

guess but, seems it would cause symmetry; also the force from the center would counter act gravity somewhat.
