Great acting by Chiwetel, really worth watching. Also, a thing that I always pay attention to, a fantastic accent. A lot of british actors fail in imitating american ones, but he doesn't.
Emmerich's films rely too heavily on visual effects, and suffer from clichéd dialogue, scientific and historical inaccuracies, illogical plot development, and lack of character depth.
Just see the movies from that he have made>
>Independence day
>Godzilla
>The Day after Tomorrow
>10,000 BC
All those movies are similar, and really bad, the oother thing is that his movies are just a caotic destruction porn.
This was a pretty cool movie, saw it yesterday, and no pipemaster777 it did not blow at all, the effects are breath taking and i garante you that you will be on the hedge of your seat!
I don't know about you, but some people want more to their movie than just beautiful explosions... I'm not saying the movie's bad, btw. But I doubt it will a great movie, rather : an extention of "Independents Day" and "Day After Tomorrow"
amen to that, despite the fact that most americans are brain dead from bad movies at this point, it seems as though we want more, or at least hollywood thinks we do. it's sad when a director has to keep making the same movie with a different cast just to make money. these people don't deserve the money they are paid.
I wouldn't trust a person who can't spell guarantee, and says "hedge" of your seat, it's "edge". And the wide consensus(early previews) are saying this movie blows.
@StryderRyuBmore well english isn't my main language, and if you believe everything you hear, then you're not very smart now are you? Go see the movie dumbass
Hm, well yes sure, there are tons and tons of those kinda movies, but this plot is a really interesting one even though it's not as worked out as a movie such as Donie Darko, Titanic or w/e
Donie Darko is one of my favorite movies, the big diference is how it develop his principal character and let you get your own explanation about what is happening, if is real or is just is mind playing tricks. But in Emmerich's films depends too much in special efects and become more of a Micheal Bay type of movie.
Disgard this, I love apocaliptical movies as 28 days later
Am not really into movies but I always want to watch Chiwetel. He's a great actor and I think he deserve all the praise...

Is the history that his director had, with really bad movies that are just bad plot and masive special effect destruction
