@tCROSSt But that's Pletts problem. HE CHOSE NOT TO WEAR ONE AND FOUGHT. It's like people who complain about Probert and Ray losing their shirts: IT'S NOT THEIR PROBLEM, it's the other fighters problem. There was nothing stopping the other guy from doing it as well except for the fact that they just weren't as good at it as Probert and Ray.
I agree with BenitoDuce70, Behn Wilson is one of the best ever! I think Plett got the edge in this one, but check out their fight in December 1978, Wilson beat Plett badly.
You, my friend need to do some more research before you make such a Dumb Ass comment..He either outright manhandled Everyone on your list or at least Beat them(plett, Philly vs Atlanta, Gillies Philly AND Chicago, Schultz Philly Vs Penns)..Destroyed O'Reily countless times, Baxter, Beck, List goes on...Lost ONE to Fotiu and Draw Vs Wensink(BOTH in his Rookie Season...You Dont know Shit!!!!
Wilson has to be the most overrated fighter in history: he rarely won decisively and lost to many late in career guys (Plett here, Schultz, Gillies and others). Even Garry Howatt fought him to a draw.
Plett punishes the opera singer! Wilson was soooo overated and picked his spots. Not a top heavyweight by any means!

plett landed better

Plett with the decisive win here. The punch that knocked off Wilson's helmet almost took his head off, too

@jscottrockford not decisive but CLEAR /: (: (:
I am right (like always, nowadays) ????

Plett with the win. Plett threw and landed more punches than Wilson and Plett got Wilson down at the end.

@hockeystruth Plett beat that pig nosed Wilson.

Good draw. No clear winner here.

You can't judge fights between older enforcers who did not where helmets with ones who had to. wearing a helmet is so much advantageous.

Looked like Plett stunned Wilson with one, it was big punch in late exchange.
Wilson also landed several shots in this one but i think he got EDGEd by Plett.
Good battle.

I agree 100% Benitoduce 70!!!! Wilson was a beast...

Wilson one of top 3 all time. Had the best balance and a wicked uppercut. He took on all comers and kicked ass...
jperez1910 2 years ago
That's a draw. They both landed about 6.

Wilson could count his losses at the NHL level on his right hand.
