  • Lovely little homemade tracked vehicle.

    I used to have one much like that, also made my tracks with small U-profiles.

    Biggest issue to begin with was it was rubbish on hard surfaces.

    I solved that with some rubber glued to the inside the U-profiles. It dramatically improved traction on hard surfaces, and didn't change traction on soft surfaces much. But the loss in traction on soft surfaces was surprisingly small.

  • Great work. Do you have the name of the motor and gearboxes you used? I'm working on a robot myself and this seems to fit the bill in terms of performance.
