want ideas.. you can use toilet paper rolls to make boilers or use them to make an old rusty factory... collect empty boxes ..so you can make ruins-buildings ,use egg packages to make some electric power generators , cut flexible straws to create small things like canons , small pipes , and broken pieces. use empty coca - cola bottles to cut them and make some broken glass . a window or an alien crashed ship. you can also use burned lamps to make your terrain looks impressive ,

erm... it depends what glue your using. But its probably that your not lettin it try 4 long enough, PVA glue can ake upto 20 mins to dry with this type of thing unfortunatly

I prefer to build my buildings out of 1/2 insulation foam. You can paint it without it warping, and it gives it more of a 3d feel.
