cheers bro! its an Audix D6 quite far from the batter head (very clicky drum) facing the beater. Has EQ + Compression and two sends, one generating gated subbass tones and one for gated overdrive with a HP filter to get a bit more cut on the kick =)
wow thanks for the info dude. i have a d6 as well but the audio quality is definitely not as good as urs. it's mostly because i don't even understand what you're on about haha. are the sub-bass tones/hp filter the compression techniques? and what EQ are u doing to it? and lastly, are u recording this multitrack? and if so, what r u using? cheers, duncan
