what they don't tell you is that these washers rust within one year & are full of mould within 2 month my mother age 68 got one 16 month ago and it's leaking water there is rust holes in the washer & mould I give this washer 0 out of 10 & Hotpoint want £99.99p to come out & put it right
This is fantastic! I've just done a duvet cycle with a single in my new washing machine (Dyson) which has a special dedicated programme like your Aqualtis, and was amazed how clean it came out! Funnily enough, in the advertisements for Dyson, they claim to fit a king size duvet in its 7kg drum, but if you can't fit a king size duvet in your 9kg drum, there must be some false advertising going on! Anyway, fantastic video and machine. Saw the 11kg model in Currys yesterday!
@gaz52 Hi, This was a double duvet. Loads of space for it. This is the 9kg model. There is now an 11kg version too. I tried it with a king size but it didn't fit.
I have this machine and its brilliant ! I am in love with the bed and bath cycle and also the steam function. For the first time ever the iron button works unlike any other machine :)
@simonbaber I think its maybe the clip i've uploaded does not show it properly. I haven't noticed it struggle at all. It goes into a distribute speed while full of water creating huge suds and does a fantastic job on the duvet. I tried my king size..... Doesn't fit while there is loads of space with the standard double.
What do you think of the wash quality with the time saver on? We have the exact same machine here and found it washes very well in a much shorter time if we keep that option on all the time. About 55 mins for coloured cottons I think? We use the 'Institutional Laundry Detergent' from Costco, btw.
It doesn't give enough time between tumbles for the water to settle down. I couldn't hear the motor at all when washing but you can on the spin cycle. There is a triangular tab at the top right hand corner or the door seal (no ideal what its for) the duvet hit this on the spin making it sound noisier than normal. I'll do another video on this cycle to show the wash action. The duvet I used was a 10.5 tog double duvet.
That triangle on the rubber seal is to make sure that everything is 100% in the drum... sometimes it happends that some parts of laundry, like part of shirt or sth like that is half in drum, and other half spinning on rubber (if u know what I mean). On my aqualtis PUMP is the loudest thing, when machine is spinning on 400, 600, 800 pump is louder than motor, and then 800+ motor becomes loudest (but it"s all so quiet LOL)
Well, that triangle is actually made to make things clear while machine is balancing, but it happends to me only with big things, (duvets, big towels, etc..). Then if it starts spinning with cloth hitting triangle - DAMAGE. :-P
On my aq. it was slight smell, but I wasn"t feeling soo good until I found out what was happening. It scared me, because when I opened the door that triangle was HOT! But now I am fine, because I know ;-)
Hi ya, it happened to me once, but the washer was overloaded and 1 small item got ripped! I was wary for a while just in case it happened again and I kept watching that triangular blob of rubber when the washer prepared to spin... but it never happened again :-)
Yes, we do. and it"s rubber when it gets hot washer smells like rubber. When it happend to me I was scared it"s sth else, but now I am thinking to cut it OFF lol

Was this a single or double duvet? Would a double fit in this machine?

@vaclover101 I've only ever used the steam button once but not a fan of the clothes coming out dripping wet. I do love it tho. very very quiet too.

I know it's a 'duvet'9kg cycle... but it seems to struggle..

please could you do a vid of it unbalanced if it dose?
thekylejohn1 1 year ago
@thekylejohn1 The Aqualtis keeps distributing the load until it is balanced. I've yet to see it shake about. Even with a mixed load.

@thekylejohn1 Hi, I gave the Jet System to my friend. Still have all the other machines in storage.

@photopuppet Hi, Sorry for the late reply. Yeah. I've tried it a few times and have not noticed any difference in the wash performance.
acameronuk1979 1 year ago
Sure but its quite boring. It uses enough water to cover the element to allow steam to be created inside the drum. Nothing more.
acameronuk1979 2 years ago
so since the whole front panel closes up, how does air get into the machine to keep it dry and smell free?
Shakiralover4ever 2 years ago
The manual instructs you to leave the door a jar after the wash over night.
Its the same with my older machines and the twin tubs. Let them air over night.

Whats the max temperature on this cycle?
Eire271 2 years ago
30 Degrees on the Duvet and 60 on the bed and bath
acameronuk1979 2 years ago
Thats a shame. Duvets do really need a hotter wash. Oh well it is still one of the best washers on the market.
Eire271 2 years ago
you ate hotpoint and say they are crappoint
Nextra6 2 years ago
Haha yes that was a long time ago. They are crap. I thought the new Aqualtis where ok. I still do think they are ok. But I would not buy one.
Eire271 2 years ago
has this replaced the zanussi?
marthalover4ever 2 years ago
I have three other automatic washing machines. The zanussi is going to my friends. This one will be the main one. LOL
acameronuk1979 2 years ago
oh lol

Did it all smelld like melted rubber after that spin? It happends in my aqualtis when cloth is constantly hitting triangle on the spin
nrones 2 years ago
Yes, but it was very slight. I just pup it down to being new
acameronuk1979 2 years ago
So is the main wash tumbles alot faster with more water?
I like the rinse waterlevel, but I see it doesn't fill up again to more water, i bet thats to save water!
It is very quiet, even in thisd duvet cycle isn't it? Very nice machine & thanks for uploading.
I am thinking of getting a simular machine, so your videos are really helpful in me choosing, thanks for uploading!

I thought thats what it was for, but doesn't this cause damage to washing if the load constantly hits it on spin???

Did you mention it can smell burning, when the clothes hit it???
glenfieldmathk1 2 years ago
Not really burning but there was a slight rubber smell. I didn't notice is with the most recent washes
