Agree with everyone else... The story is really twisted, she marries and has a KID with the king who threatened to kill her for gold, then the rumpel dude who saved her ass by making gold for 3 nights gets it at the end. I hope theres a better version of this story somewhere....

@orlybabe You shall notice that 99% of fairy tales are hundreds of years old. Some nearly a thousand...You will notice in all of the original storys they are very dark, twisted & even tragic. Like the original Little Mermaid. After the sea witch cuts her tounge off & she walks on her legs every step she takes is like walking on sharp knives. Then she ends up commiting suicide in the end. Original fairy tales always have a important lesson or moral in the story some way or another, Good & bad.

Personally, I like how the actors are having fun with these roles, not taking them TOO seriously, but really getting into them. Either way, the cast of all these Faerie Tale Theatre stories had alot of fun doing them I'm sure.

He's just a bit too boisturous and bubbly for me here. The way he keeps saying "I'm happy" I find rather annoying. Like I said, it's not so much him I blame as the way it's written. But like I said, that's just how I look at it. It's fine if you don't agree.

@RachelAS09 Depends on which version you hear. Some say that it was just the novelty of having a royal child be his. Sometimes it's infered that he intends to make the child one of the faerie folk. Other times when they don't say it goes back to the lore about the faerie folk that they're going to either keep the child as a pet, make it a slave or eat it.
