I use std gearbox from honda s2000 and seems to be fine and my cwp is FSO Polonez 4,55 ratio with colotti LSD. I will for sure replace the diff for honda s2000 with 4,77 ratio when i get a set of gears and a good plate LSD to that diff as the original one is nothing good for rally(helical LSD) and also the ratio of 4,1 will have no use on the stages.
what is the 0-60mph time. what size wheels are you using?.With a 4.77 ratio would first gear be to sort? Keep up with videos like the idea of s2000 engine for rallying
I do no know the 0-60 time but it should be a bit better than stock s2000 so somewhere around 5,5-6seconds. as the car is lighter than s2000 for about 250kg. I am using 15x7" wheels with low profile slick tyres. 4.77 will be better as for the moment i am not able to get full speed on the stages on 6th gear so i am actually wasting acceleration that i could have if i ran shorter gear. First gear is not important as you only use it on very tight corners and on start.
I have checked the acceleration of my fiat with stock BMW e36 M3 and fiat was lot faster up to the end of 4th gear(about 110mph) after that bmw was able to overtake me so i am not sure about how fast is it to 60mph but for sure better than bmw and i was driving on narrow winter tires at that moment.
Very good. What do think of the torque on the s2000 engine? Is it noticeable on tight twisty sections and tight corners by feeling a bit sluggish? Do you have to keep it in high revs to get/keep it moving?
THere is lot more torque than i had in Fiat engine and it is on all powerband. Maybe a bit weak below 3000rpm but this can be felt as weak torque as later it has more than average 2.0 liter engine so you feel it as a kick after it gets to vtec. I rev it to the end and the gear changes do not drop below vtec switch point but on snowy roads i was able to go very fast using less gears than usually as i could use one gear for about 6000rpm
Cant wait to see that mate . When you have done it can we have some video footage please mate?

Next week i want to change final drive to 5,38 ratio so hopefully the acceleration will be better in higher gears :)
