exhaust tips are proven to decrease horsepower. Its puting a resistant on how well the exhaust fumes are being channeled out of the engine. the better and more freely it is emitted, the more power you'll get.

08 tc ive looked a hundred times what muffler suites the tc best id say hks doesnt hurt the pocket and delivers a decent sound... oh and tc runs so well with toyo proxes 4 or toyo Tr1 .. awesome price also ... runnin with TR1 tread design kicks ass all season
I have this same exhaust on my tc and it sounds great! I highly recomend it. At first I was gonna go with the Injen SES but, in the end I decided this one was best for me. Nice deep throaty sound.

I wouldn't say this really sounds like a WRX. They have a distinctive grumble due to the unequal length manifolds. But nonetheless, this exhaust does sound really throaty for a four cylinder. Not bad at all..

but then it's HKS vs no name brand...and the custom built might release some toxic chemicals or w.e I don't know the specifics on that...point is I feel safer with a known company.
Megans SUCKS, stay away. My friend had an 07' TC not even 6months after owning the Megan it started to rust and he did NOT go through any winter salt and the car was garaged liberally.

i've noticed with my new exhaust too, that TC's even with resonators (axelback)it can get pretty loud... i ended up keeping the silencer on, and interesting thing is is that new 08 xb w/o silencer catback = same loudness for tc axelback with silencer. GREAT sound you got there!
