I remember waking up at in the middle of the night and not being able to go to sleep, so I turned on the TV and watched this because it was just on. I was like, twelve (16 now) and this freaked me OUT. Hahahaa. But it's what caught my attention and that's the reason I love Fullmetal Alchemist. I forgot how many heart-wrenching moments there were. Though, I do think that Brotherhood plays out a lot better. This one has way too much filler. And yes, I understand the manga wasn't finished then. :)

Adding all of this together, FMAB's execution wasn't as effective as FMA's. FMA felt like a real, dramatic series all throughout and treated itself as such (making it mature). FMAB felt like a little kid's show with its dumb humor, half-assed dialogue, and childish attempts at several serious moments.
