I was always so confused when they jumped in the water and came out different colours, I still am.

@mrall3 if you watch, the peach one is never shown jumping... so the peach one rises from the water right after the blue one lands, and then the blue one comes up after... that might be why it appears to come out differnet colors (that or the color artists screwed up) but because the peach one is missing from the jump, that could be it too.

the second jumps ( Blue ) but when he come out from water he became orange

the third is the ( Orange ) but he became blue

after that the black one jumps !!

but then there's another black !!!

when you'll see that there is no black horse in water but it's yellow !

I didn't know this was from Disney or Fantasia. I fucking loved the Pegasuses, I don't recall any other part of the movie, or series of movies. I was never clear on that and don't care. The only part I cared about where the Pegasuses and the mythical creatures. But even as a kid I had one question. Why were all the Pegasuses babies different colours when the mom was white and the dad was black? But I just went with MAGIC!

Awesome to see all the memories and camaraderie around here! I, too, wore my VHS copy of Fantasia to shreds as a kid. The history/making of Fantasia is really fascinating, too. Leopold Stokowski often had the orchestra up at 3 a.m., drinking lots of coffee to try and get more intense performances out of them. Fantasia was also a pioneering effort toward standardizing stereo sound! Real innovation in those days!

@LucyLovettLestrange There wasn't a baby white one. They had Orange, Blue, Pink and Black. But the gene pool with a Black father and White mother would mean that there wouldn't be any colours... Ergo the little Black baby made the most sense out of all of them. However, it could purely be for entertainment's sake and so colourful children would make for a more interesting movie. Or the colour might be something they grow out of - be sex linked perhaps. Colours go white kinda thing.

This is the cutest movie I have ever watched I am 22 years old and I am still watching it with awe , despite the mistakes , just watch the movie , listen to that beautiful harmony . Not everything should be commented upon.
