Pretty hard to tell from up there but if you climb down you can see that there's a lava flow coming out the top of the dome and falling off down the far side. That's pretty much why there's a dome in the first place, it's been growing there since 1922. The vapour also contains water and carbon-dioxide amongst other things. Pretty cool.
