That really illustrates how big a bait you could use for flatheads... That little one ate a pretty good sized bluegill in about half a second. Wow. Very cool video. I just learned something useful from this website! Very cool.
This was awesome and i can totally relate to how smart and cool the catfish are. I have a Blue cat that I caught when it was only give or take 3-4 inches big. I have him a 55 gallon also and he is a Beast when it comes to eating. I feed him 30 goldfish sometimes and they are gone by the morning. I also have a Bluegill that he cant catch for the life of him. Go and check out my videos that have "Fat Bastard " in it. You'll actually see him catch the Sunfish. Oh and that prick ate my pleco fish.
@saulzaron They are fun to watch! They're very smart and very good at attacking their prey. I fish for these guys out on the river and i've actually learned a lot by watching him in my tank. They eat a lot and need room! I'm actually thinking of releasing mine because he's getting pretty big.
@chris060683 DO NOT RELEASE HIM INTO THE WILD! He can possibly have gotten a disease in your tank that your unaware of that will wreak havoc on the natural enviornment, on top of that it is HIGHLY illegal in all states. What you need to do is contact a bass pro or cabelas to see if they will take it and if that dont work you will have to put it down. Its unfortunate but its what you will have to do.
@DylanTheFisherman that would only happen if he fed it feeder fish like goldfish but obviously he feeds it wild fish. itll be fine to let it go, everyone else does it anyway
Great Cat. I've only had mine about a year and he's about half this size! They are lazy little bastards aren't they? How long was it before yours would eat in front of you? Mine won't eat except at night! It's been a year and I still haven't seen him eat!
what lake or river did you catch it from. That would be an aweasome pet. if you ever get rid of it i would be more than happy to take it off your hand. / what state/????
