I was in 8th grade at the time, and being uninformed and living in NY, I supported Giuliani. Now, as a High School junior having taken AP US History, I know see everything completely differently. Ron Paul is right on the money, and if you notice in the news now, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, have all these negative articles and comments whereas Ron Paul simply cannot be legitimately slandered. This man is a modern day Thomas Jefferson, and has sparked my interest in politics. Thank you Dr Paul.

So Mr. Paul begins to speak, and I think to myself- it's sad that everyone who watched those debates didn't IMMEDIATELY switch their canidate support to Ron Paul. He was making crystal clear common sense, correctly supporting ONLY the Constitution & The Bill Of Rights, and avoiding silly discussions that were merely smokescreens. Looking back at those debates now, I hope that people are finally awake to the fact that he was the ONLY real candidate that ran that year.

Should America be completely free with no regulation from the government, a belief that Adam Smith advocated.

Or should the government play a role in the economy to fix market failures or negative externalities.

I believe in the 2nd while Ron Paul and his supporters believe the first. But we should always remember that debating is good; we all want a better America and that is why we debate.

But his policies are insane.

1) he wants to get rid of the fed

2) he wants to get rid of the IRS

3) he doesn't have a health care plan

The first 137 years of our country, we didn't have an income tax or a Federal Reserve, and the economy did fairly well and the dollar went from being worth $1 to 80 cents because we were non-interventionalists. From 1913, when we had tax and the FDR, to today, the dollar is worth 4 cents. The FDR is a private bank and is unconstitutional. Did you know the government uses our birth certificates as collateral to borrow from the FDR? And the Social Security number as a bank tracking number?

2. It's not in the constitution that American citizen should pay taxes. IRS is a contract between U.S. Corporate gov and U.S. citizens.

3. The health care plan we have hasn't worked.

4. Why not. Mabey Soviet Union should have got out. They would probably still have a Union.
