Spent four weeks at Tree House Lonely Beach around christmas and new years 2002, had an amazing time. Helped out at the bar, spinned some records and spend most of the nights in the yin-yang alcove above the reception. I was devastated to hear that they got closed down, heard the original owner was muscled out in 2005.
like the rest of kho chang its gong to be mcdonalds and frys its like tenerife slowly the thai culture is disapering with all the 5star resortsto cater for forieng tourist who want to go to thailand but be in there own suroundings back home how sad for them yes treehouse is for sale because it dont cater for the 5 star market and thialnd tourism is dead now was in koh lanta feb 2009 was nobody there so many empty bars and places closed down thai unrest not helping culture going
in tree house on lonley beach - the best ital food in thailand! don't miss fruit shake decorated with flowers - recommedned for all vegan-wegatarians.nice sunset. exelent spot not only for backpakers. mr.fish
There's still one piece of Lonely Beach undeveloped with crabs scurrying along North of Tree house and Siam Hut. Was cool walking around experiencing an undeveloped beach with no one on it. It's the natural property with a small pond and a drainage ditch running to the ocean creating a minor break in the beach. Gave me a sense of what Lonely Beach once was. A dense coconut palm forest with all kinds of nature embedded.
I visited last Summer and this place had a for sale sign on it.
This is the Treehouse near Lonely Beach . it has since moved to Long Beach at southern end of island . Lonely Beach, once an unspoiled jungle beach has been trashed by overdevelopment .
I remember buying a "cookie" from a hippy at this place, good times :D

Treehouse at lonely beach is a DUMP, i hope you people like cockroaches in you bungalows. Leftovers, carbages everywhere. I left after 1 day....
