This movie is amazing! Ida questions her faith, because she did not understand. But it shows you how even at times like this, forgiveness isn't impossible. Watch it again, you are the one being ignorant.
I am watching this movie right now and I must say this ....IT'S A DISGRACE !!! Amish people do not act like that . I love the tone that Amish regret being CHRISTians !!! Mr . and Mrs. Hollywood need to stop dumbing down CHRISTians and their beliefs !!
I didn't see anything in this movie that gave the impression that the Amish regret being Cristians! Ida was the one questioning her faith as she was trying to make sense of her daughter's death. There was no "dumbing down" of Christians or their beliefs. I am a Chrsitian and thought this was an absolutely beautiful movie. It touched my heart deeply.
