um yea 9 years old is a tad bit to young to have a girlfriend. my parents didnt let me date till i was 14. still they make a cute cupple and i see nothing wrong with them being friends really really close friends. and to give a 9 year old a phone with text i'm sorry but it's classy.

I find it funny though that they invited the parents to dinner like this is something serious LOL. And yeah I don't know how giving a 9 yr old cell teaches them responsibility.
