Was that hootin and hollerin from all the players who got cheap shots from this players Dad and Uncles. Brian particularly was one dirty player. I had no respect for the way he'd purposely go after good players on other teams for no reason. If you think I'm exaggerating watch Brian with St.Louis go after Randy Carlyle in a sudden death playoff game in '81...Very cheap to say the least, he used to ambush players and punch them from behind. Unlike this CLEAN hit from Doug Weight.

I feel it should have been a penalty too. There are players now who you watch and they back off from hits and take it easier. if weight knew he was in a comprimising position he should have laid off....players code people. i dont believe it was suspension worthy but penalty at least

@OELC07 How can he lay off when his momentum is towards Sutter? It's not as easy as you think. Sutter should learn from this and not lean forward to reach the puck.

its only a high hit because he leans forward to reach for the puck right as hes getting hit, big mistake! luckly he'll be ok, in the future he'll realize that in the NHL you get smoked, not hit. doug weight should not be punished, there is no way he could hold up with that short of notice

@wab1988 Dude listen to the announcers. They're right. Sutter was leaning in for the puck. The reason it was a high hit was because he was low to the puck. It's completely legal.
