i really liked Brett Hart and i am about finished reading his book. It was good but all these wrestlers books seem to have the same types of issues. Very sad how their lives turn out. I really thought these guys were so tough that nothing could hurt them

Who better than a second generation wrestler who's been there and seen it all from the pre-Hulkamania era to the Attitude era and a little beyond. Jericho delivered too with his amusing wit, but in terms of history, it can't even touch Bret's experience. Alhough, to be fair, Jericho came a generation later.

In addition to charting his own career, he was able to give an interesting anecdotal timeline of the wrestling business as well from the 1970's to the 2000's. For a man that suffered a severe stroke, he can tell quite a vivid story. I rank his book right up there with Mick Foley's first book and Chris Jericho's book.

A big problem with steroid usage is theyre overworked. Too busy to maintain normal, healthy lives. And yes, being a big buff guy usually gets you farther, no matter how talented you are. Alot of times they use steroids to get like that.

I got that book and have it autographed I even have his 1996 autograph when he was still with WWE (however not working as a wrestler in North America at that time)
The best book in wrestling so far...with out WWE blacking out events is maybe the reason why the WWE didnt work with Bret (who knows)

Vince didn't kill any of them but he puts such a standard on looks and not on ability that affects guys who don't even work for him. That's part of the legacy he's cast since the expansion in the 80s. When a guy like Chris Masters gets two runs in WWE and Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson are just getting in, there's something wrong.
Hopefully CM Punk can get a real run and get over huge to show other guys that you don't have to be a muscle head to get the big bucks.
