Of course changing gears above 5000rpm would snap your neck, the Aventador only has a single clutch gearbox. The fact that it's single clutch and only comes in semi-automatic boggles my mind. You might as well offer a proper stick manual with a third pedal if you're sticking to an old school transmission. I still think the Ferrari 458 is the better car even though the Aventador would kill it in a straight line and beats the Ferrari's top speed by about 15mph.

@musvlehead A car is based on how confident you are with the car, It doesn't matter if the car is more advanced or more powerful but if the driver is not confident with the car the result are slower lap times. The Aventador is a beast of a car almost terrifying, The Aventador's gear box is quick but rough cause it is a single clutch unlike most double clutch configurations in most supercars. Tiff needel is terrified and he doesn't find that fun.

They also don't say it but whenever they test a ferarri its tuned for that specific track. So it actually does better than the production vehicle. Its what ferarri does in all tests, Chris Harris spoke out about it and has been banned from driving ferarris. They have to talk down other cars in road tests out of fear. Its dishonest.

@btevoxboy6835 yea, gearchanges aren't really smooth, but i've been a passenger in a BMW M6 and the gearchanges there aren't smooth, too. but it't just feel so great when you change the gear and it kicks you in the back and you know "yea, this is the next gear!"... such a supercar doesn't need to be smooth i think, you want to know when you are driving hard :D

So he does like some American sportscars, although he criticizes most American Cars (for good reason, sometimes -- I'm American but I prefer European cars, I sat in a brand new Challenger the other day and the plastics in the interior were so hard. Still, I like the outside looks of the challenger)
