  • These guys were all brilliant minds, but of course there were MANY other brilliant artists who were involved in making this classic films. I hope some day they do a well done documentary on these filmmakers...

  • I can't believe that there were only nine people involved in making my childhood a much happier one...

  • These were the men behind the magic that entranced generations of children. In a way, these men live on in the hearts of every person who ever fell in love with a Disney film.

  • Wow... This is so beautiful. Thanks for making it...

  • they are like part of the spirit of disney

    RIP

  • These men really saved the Disney Studio after World War II, and also Woolie Reitherman saved Disney animation after the death of Disney when he began focusing on directing.

  • I LOVE WALT DISNEY AND THE NINE OLD MEN! Great tribute! A+

  • you know i wonder what these guys would say about the new disney

these men were real inspiration RIP you great artists

  • Olli Johnston one of the greatest old mens lived until april 2008 He knows how the "new" Disney and the 3D disney looks like. And I think he dont want change anything. Its no big difference to animate 2D or 3D im studying Animation and i've learned first the 12 principes and 2D animation.

But the were sooooo good animators and ARtists .. untouchable

  • I didn't know Les did Tiger Lily.

  • These 9 guys did so much work. All the great Disneys from the Golden ages. Brilliant!!!!!

  • Frank Thomas in his younger days during the time of Bambi kinda resembled Stephen Colbert from the Colbert Report.

  • True artists!

  • i'm vaguely inspired.

can't wait to go back to disneyland.

    :)

  • Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston and Ward Kimball are the best!

    R.I.P all...

  • the last nine Old Men was passed 15 April 2008

  • Sad. I thought Frank and Ollie were still alive.

  • I know it's sad that they both died! Frank and Ollie both made cameos in Brad Bird's two animated films The Iron Giant and The Incredibles. As a matter of fact Frank Thomas died the night he completed his cameo for The Incredibles which was the night of September 8 2004 and Ollie Johnston died on April 14 2008! Ollie was the last surviving Nine Old Men! They were true legends who'll never be forgotten! R.I.P. Frank and Ollie. MY HEROES!

    XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
