That's OK, "something" could be as small as forwarding information or not backing down when you're faced with the usual warmonger rhetoric. You have to counter it with the truth. There are a lot of people who are afraid of speaking out and when somebody does, they feel a little more comfortable with voicing their own opinion. Calling Senators and Representatives on a regular basis is a good start. Your frustration is shared by many of us - just let it out. Thanks for what you can do.

I'm not one of the "why bother with activism it's all pointless" types but with something that takes place at such a high level as war do you think letters/phone calls really matter? They're probably looking more to opinion polls to see if they can get away with it without causing civil war than paying attention to the activist community right? The New York protests set records & got almost no media coverage. (looking more for encouragement than argument if you're wondering)

Me, too. Calls and letters to your representatives do matter. Especially if they get a lot. They can't ignore them. I'm in the Viet Nam generation and didn't have a clue till my husband got drafted and went over there. It ruined him mentally for a while. I got active and went to my first march in DC in 1971 and was amazed that so many were against the war when everybody at home was so pro-war. If they push us into Iran we'll be seeing the draft again - you can just about bet on it.
