I can understand Urdu, so I didn't have any problem understanding it. But I strongly believe that this video should have English subtitles, so the non-Urdu speaking viewers can understand it. It has a lot of good information to be shared :)
more than awsome. i hope a day will come when we will be soo litterate that we wld do all the compulsory blood tests.... before marriage!! so that future could be safe. why to afraid??? knowledge n literacy is better than un-knowing something
Very informative video..My GP recently found out that I have Thalasemia Minor, and I should not marry a girl who has same trait. Thanks to Allah I got this information in time but only after moving to Canada. During my 25 years in Pakistan no doctor told me that I had this trait even though I had regular examinations and blood tests.
Need is to educate pubic in developing world, otherwise this is going to cause big problems.
hi thalassemia is a big problem and not many people are aware of its implications . my 11 year old daughter had thalassemia , bone marrow transplant was recommended. we took that option but it was not successful. she passed away after 8 months of treatment at st james hospital leeds. uk.. so it is best to screen couples for thalasaemia. best wishs for all those with this condition . if carefully treated people can stay well for a long time. my daughter kiran was extremely well managed.
@abukiran. I am so sorry for your loss. I firmly believe that everything happens for the best and your daughter must be in a much better place now.
Supportive treatment in UK is very good and I don't understand 1 thing about BMT, even though they claim the success rate of BMT is over 90% but in my personal experience I have seen only 1 in 5 children surviving. I guess 90% success rate is for overall BMTs. I wish they give statistics of BMT done in Thalassaemia casses.
i hope there was an english subtitle so many more viewers could understand.. i could have understood the video more. but thanks. it was a good presentation.
You are absolutely right. I thought of it too but unfortunately I don't have the software to add sub-titles. If you or anyone from the viewer knows how to do it please feel free to add, it will be the great help. Thanks!
