Yes they do know that some hetero's pressure thier kids; they just wanna point out it can happen the other wat around as well. I can understand what they're saying even though it's not worded as well as it could be.
I don't think they're saying that oriental pressure doesn't/won't happen in heterosexual families (everyone it does) they're merely pointing out that it can happen the other way around as well. Not everyone learns from their past.
Ok. I think there is some hilarity here. Many people made comments about gay couples possible forcing their children to possibly be gay. That's insane. Just as sad and as insane as SO many parents today trying to convience thier gay/bi children that they are straight. It seems to be accepted going one way but not the other!? lol Either way it's wrong. Everybody love everybody damn it... Good project and great music choices! ;)
Our society is so heter-normative, heterosexuality is all but invisible to us. I heard almost everyone who was okay with gay couples having children say they're okay with it "as long as the child doesn't feel pressured to be homosexual." I wonder if any of them considered whether or not it's okay for heterosexual couples to have children if the child feels pressured to be heterosexual. (Forgive me, sociology grad student in college geeking out over your video. **grin**)
