Somehow I don't think the pens need to cheat to win. Montreal may be stronger when all the players listed below come back, but what makes a great team is depth and the ability to play without your top players... Aka Pittsburgh! Canadiens have some problems early this year. if Cammalleri, gionta and plekanec play as they are able, habs will be in top 5. AND WHEN MARKOV comes back in the lineup eventually, Montreal will become very dangerous.

@Trojanslax49 There is a difference between a cheap shot, and an unfortunate hit. Pacioretty has to be suspended under the new rules. Pacioretty isn't a dirty player. He simply meant to make a crazy hit, but it ended up differently. The intent was not there to injure, so therefore it wasn't a "cheap shot". No doubt, Max will have to be more careful, as well as all players around the league. Eventually, that will sink in for the most part. Also, Letang is not a saint either.

Pacioretty is a defensive minded player, and he was bound to at some time, get caught in a situation like this. It's going to happen much more often in the new system after it gets more into swing. And whether THAT is a good or bad thing, is another debate. But it will change the way defense is played.
