Bad Bart looks WAY different in this one: His clothes, his nose is bigger, he has black hair/mustashe, but he's still performed by Jim Henson. That hand was Forgetful Jones playing piano. Is this Steve Whitmire's first time performing someone on Sesame Street or not?
This Fat Blue muppet's name is "Mr. Johnson." He is the cranky muppet who goes to "Charlie's Restaurant" who his waiter is always Grover where Grover never usually gets his order right. Wherever he goes, Grover is there too but, it looks like he's playing as a different character (a bartender) in this skit.
Mr. Johnson and the bartender in this clip are not the same guy. They just happen to look alike. Most mustachioed Fat Blue Muppets look fairly similar, but if you look closely, there are obvious differences.
Yes, I can see a difference between Mr. Johnson and the bartender in this skit. Here in this skit, the bartenders hair is shorter but, Mr. Johnson's hair is a little longer.
I guess I should have said that the two old skool sesame street dvds do not contain any of these "bad bart" skits, even though I remember them from the early 1970's.
This comment is for tpirman1982. Sarsaparilla is pop and it is great stuff. I have over 100 hundred bottles in the flat. It is not root beer and it is not ginger beer. It is just ordinary pop.
Anybody got the Western skit where they cowboy Anything Muppets, Clementine, Forgetful, etc. sing What's The Name Of That Song and Forgetful keeps asking people for the song's name at the end?
Can we have an upload of the Willy Crybaby sketch?

I don't remember this one.

I LOVE the way Bad Bart pivots and points to the bartender! Is this and the first guy he grabs the same muppets that used to be construction muppets?

too bad this very memorable "bad bart" skit is not included on either of the 2 old skool sesame street dvds.
skepticdude2 4 years ago
Well, it wouldn't be as those two DVDs concern Sesame Street of the seventies, and this clip is from the eighties.

You have to wonder how those bad guys on Sesame Street got titled as such, as they're all really nice underneath.

Which Anything Muppet is David Rudman performing in this skit?

Forgetful Jones seemed to have a silent role in this skit.

I'm also hoping for the Sinister Sam skit, wanting to know "Y"...and that last box o' crayons.
But this is another gem I almost forgot!

Is that Brian Muehl playing Clementine here? It doesn't sound like Kevin Clash.
Dane2 4 years ago
Yeah, it is.
sawing14s 4 years ago
Right. There were 3 performers for Clementine over the years:
1979 - 1985: Brian Muehl; 1985 - 1988: Kevin Clash; and 1988 - 1992: Camille Bonora.

A cool clip! Anyone got a similar one where the villain wanted to know "Y"?
SkyfireTheFox 4 years ago
That's the one I've been wanting to see too: somebody went down to the general store and bought the last box of crayons, and he wanted to know 'Y'.

I like Bad Bart-despite his name he's not such a bad guy after all.
