@xFogxofxWarx there were quinquiremes too, and they hadn´t 5 rows of oars, they had 3 rows just like the trireme. biremes had 3 rows from time to time, too. the definition refers to the oarsmen that operate one oar, not necessarily the number of rows.
@888HamilkarBarkas888 the word bireme means two oars, or two rows. Biremes has two rows, triremes 3. It is disputed as to how many a quinquireme had, from what I have read. Where did you learn this?
@xFogxofxWarx i just tried to explain that it is not as easy as it seams. why should they call ships with 3 rows trireme or quinquereme from time to time? polybios wrote, that all oars of a quinquereme cost less than all oars of a trireme, so it is clear that triremes had more oars. the names of these ships refer to the number of oarsmen. trireme: 3 rows, on each oar one oarsmen. quinqereme: 3 rows, 1st row 2 men per oar, 2nd row 2 men per oar, 3rd row, 1 man per oar.
@888HamilkarBarkas888 biremes had usually 2 rows, but as i explained on top the name just refers to the number of oarsmen. therefore it is possible that biremes had sometimes 1 row with 2 oarsmen on each oar.
many scientists were confused by the names of these ships, but according to depictions and historic sources as polybios the problem is more or less solved. i read that in "the roman army" by peter connolly and believe me, i know a lot about this stuff.
thats not a bireme if u look closely at 0:50 if u look under the oars u can see the third row (not in use)

Kind of an inaccurate design, but cool nonetheless!

triremes have three rows of oars. Biremes have two. Is this modelled off of a trireme?

I'll check with Mike, but it looks to me as though the bottom row of oars are just not being used.
