  • The first shape!

  • Hey chappers, I know it's out there somewhere but I can't be asked to surf the whole forum again, what E-mail adress do I send a pre-order note to? I mean the one where you just sign up for one not actually guarantee purchase.

  • i like all 3

  • STANDARD EXPLORER!!!

  • POINTY !

  • Im soo happy for you

  • standard explorer all the way.

  • man i wish i could afford that, well guess that's what jobs are for lol!

  • @yoyodunno We offer a payment plan ;-)

  • @RobChappers Woah really? can i find out about that on the forums or website?

  • @RobChappers i cant find how to vote, im on your forum but dont know where to go from?

  • @Ibik Go to the general section and look for the post called " Chapman Explorer vote round two"

  • standard explorer!!!!

  • among the official 3 styles, i vote traditional... although i dig the firebird look the best

  • I'd say traditional! :)

  • Unzip that bad boy

  • number 1 dude

  • I love that shirt

  • Chappers, When can we get some Monkey Lord T-Shirts??? Any plans?

  • @guitarinkrys Yeah I'd love to make some... Just need some cash first - I hate bad quality Tshirts ;-)

  • BTW i can't find where the voting is...

  • I think the traditional Explorer looks best.

  • yep i would love to have one so bad. how much will this one be? i am going to guess a lot more. :-)

  • @TheJackattack666 The Ghost Fret will retail at £1,500 - We have a payment plan available.

  • @TheJackattack666 The Ghost Fret will retail for £1,500

  • @RobChappers sounds good do you fnow when they would be ready like the end of the year or next year??

  • TRADITIONAL PLEASE!!! BTW any ML1 guitars left? i plan on ordering one next week if you have some left.

  • @classicalia Yes sir grab one while you can! They are in stores now ;-)

  • traditional explorer loaded with DM Tone zone and Air Norton... with transparent finish :)

  • pointy style

  • standard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and how about the headstock?

  • @spuogis Headstock vote coming up really soon ;-)

  • it should be like a esp ex, the top horn here looks like it would be awkward. hmm i notice from the comments that the vote my be pretty close, any chance of selling 2 different body styles rob?

  • is it neck-thru? trational rules the world!

  • pointy style

  • Pointy style.

  • Traditional!

  • TRADITIONAL!:)

  • The ESP EX style would be better without that awkward looking bend on the horn...

    So I vote traditional.

Or perhaps something like a Jackson Kelly...

    :'{

    *pleads*

  • I personally don't like the D activator i had one for a while and its like an EMG only lacking some punch and bite. I suggest maybe the X2N or super distortion?

  • @minhtyfresh1 You have to set them up in a specific way to make them work, and when they work they are amazing ;-)

  • @RobChappers what is this "set up" you speak of?

  • @Steve128967 That would be a "Chapman Guitars" secret to do with optimum distance & powerful magnets ;-)

  • @RobChappers Really? Well alrite you are the monkeylord haha but without a doubt the bareknuckle option would be sick either way!

  • We also are rolling out a payment plan - You will receive "Here's your wood" and "Build progress" shots. Then once you have paid in full it's yours ;-)

  • I love the "pointy explorer shape." it's my favorite body shape

  • I wanted to see a Jackson Kelly body! But I pick traditional. I wanted to see a Tone Zone and Air Norton combo on it, but maybe next time. Hopefully I have saved enough by atleast Christmas to get myself a Ghost Fret.

  • Please just choose the traditional explorer!!!

and dimarzio's would sound awesome in it!!

  • I'm going to say traditional. I think it portrays the monkeylord personality better than the latter. Can't wait to see it!!!

  • that's really rushed chappers lol may 23 yikes

  • @snapascrew I did upload a video about it weeks ago mate - You must have missed it ;-)

  • @RobChappers my bad!

  • Traditional...it's a classic.

  • traditional. the rest look poser.

  • what about a 24 fret v with a kahler and a reverse headstock. but id go with the pointy A style rather than pointy B

  • tTraditional obviously

  • Trad Headstock.

  • We need a explorer shape thats not a gibson or a dean. Something that we get exactly what we want and need, not added things that we can't change. Plus we want to pay for the guitar not the name. (sorry Mate no offense) but you know what it feels like to buy a guitar and be disappointed that an off brand can play just as good if not better than the name brand that you spent so much money on. SO go with an explorer and I'll buy this guitar for sure! I already voted!

  • @koepkeguitar Don't worry mate - My luthier is award winning! Trust me these guitars will be unbelievable quality ;-)

  • I'm Getting a Mesa Boogie Roadster combo for my birthday today, but im getting the Ghost Fret For Christmas! I Recomend Active Pickups on this Ghost Fret! Maybe some EMG 81-60 or SD Blackouts! PURE WIN

  • @809Metallica Awesome mate - We also offer an upgrade from the stock D activator & Paf pro Dimarzios to Bare Knuckles if required ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • Traditional is by far the best choice.

  • I think you should sticky that thread, monkey lord. Confused me a bit at first.

  • Aww...I was lookin forward to a Chapman V :(

No doubt it will still be OSSUM! tho :)

And if onli u posted this a day early...Would have been ready for my 18th :( GUTTED! xD

Hope the project goes well, like the ML1 ^_^

  • Explorer Please!!

  • Hello phone!

  • rob do you ever do any clinics futher north because i would love to come to one but its a bit of a treck down to wiltshire.

  • @adam0594 Yes mate - I will be in at a clinic in Guildford in July!

  • @RobChappers that not futher north its like right by london haha i live in warrington so its still really farr

  • whats the headstock gonna be?

  • I think the traditional Explorer looks best.

What are the guitar's specs and price?

  • @n00bHunter07 Spec so far is: Korina body Maple and bubinga neck 3 piece Ebony board 25 scale with 24 frets D activator / Paf pro Gotoh GTC101 bridge Volume and tone knob in cosmo black DiMarzio 3 way toggle with coil split option We can wire without coil splitting on request. 500k controls with standard taper Nut 43mm wide, bone Finish- oil finish Ferrules to rear Black plastic control cavity covers There will be the option to change the pups from the stock Dimarzio's to Bare Knuckle's
  • @RobChappers wow that's gorgeus!!! I vote for the traditional Explorer

  • @RobChappers that sounds so beautiful, only thing that would make it better IMO would be to have a seven string model. still amazing though. would be nice to acctauly get a nice six string again though. :)

  • Traditional for sure. Kinda sad that there is no single cut. :-(

  • love this guy

  • Traditional body style.

  • Thanks Chappers! This made my day.

    Monkey Lord FTW!

  • classic explorer.

  • Number 1 ;)

  • Classic shape :D

  • I voted number 3 :D

  • I didn't register, but if it's the first one, I would really be more hyped up to by one :D

  • CHAPPERS - PLEAAAAASE DO A TELE!! But a rock tele, like the schecter PT or Jim Root telecaster! Pretty please :)

  • @TheEnglishWay1 Consider it done, hand made and built to order! ;-)

  • COME TO GLASGOW

  • @darrenguitar I'd love to mate! ;-)

  • @RobChappers come to the orkney blues festival!!!!

  • @RobChappers I second that!!

  • The link's broken in the description, but yeah. It's easy to find. :) 1 is really awesome, can't wait to see one of these beasts at the clinic/in the future.

  • Traditional! I've been looking into getting an explorer but Gibson are always way too expensive... This will be massive amounts of win!

  • Classic shape!

Any chance of a 7 string?

  • It should have the Gibson-ish headstock so we can all buy one as an alternative to an old EVH-style Ibanez Explorer. Please tell me it won't have an ML-1 headstock (it's ok but could have done with something closer to the Washburn N4 in my opinion. The asthetics of many cool-looking guitars have been ruined by a poor headstock design (Suhr, James Tyler etc).

  • I like the third shape Rob :)

  • Fix the URL in the info section. I figured it out, YouTube just jack'd it up.

  • traditional explorer FTW! And now I REALLY fucking wish I was at that clinic :( How much is the ML Experience Again?

  • Today is my Birthday! My Name is BB Mejia from Dominican Republic and Today April 19 2010 is my 18th Bday!!!

  • @809Metallica Happy birthday mate!

  • @RobChappers ,Thanks So Much MonkeyLord!!!! I Got a Gibson Explorer Ebony Customized! But i want to see the Results of The MLII "Ghost Fret", i Like the Shape 3 btw the Classic Gibson Explorer Shape!

  • @RobChappers

lol, i think 809metallica wanted you to give him a free guitar for his birthday XD

  • @809Metallica wow ask to your parents for a ghost frets as a gift man is so cool that chappers answer you hahaha

  • three!

  • I'd love a traditional Explorer with a Floyd Rose and 24 frets. And maybe an HSH pick up configuration, and a killswitch, coil tap would be sweet too.

    Okay enough...

  • wanna see the 3rd one :(

  • I'm really not sure which shape I like best. But it does look very interesting. I'm as looking for something in that direction. Is the rough price known already?

  • Traditional Explorer shape is the the best, I absolutely hate the ESP FX shape but whatever the specs I would love to see the finished guitar! :D

  • No offence Chappers but most of your viewers are under 20 so we don't have £1500 going spare i'm sure it'll be a smashing guitar but a mass produced model you have been more economically viable.

  • @ImUnd3cid3d would have been*

  • @ImUnd3cid3d Actually my greatest demographic is 30 - 55 year old guys, that's why I am employed to sell PRS private stock, Collings, Tom Anderson etc. Also I am not making a mass produced model, each guitar is built "To order" by hand ;-)

  • @RobChappers That threw me off a lil.. Fair play man... Go for it ! I'm just jealous cause i cant afford one....

  • @RobChappers thats him told :L

  • @RobChappers Collings? You got any spares? Now that is pure class...

  • Voted!

  • go for the classic shape!

  • 2nd

  • I'm up for the second one!

  • FIRST!!!!!!!!!
