Marijuana is practically legal in amsterdam and the sky has yet to fall. Also the only correletion between marijuana and hard drugs aside from the black market is that marijuana is the third most popular recreational drug, so like cigarettes and tobacco someone who does heroin is likely to of tried marijuana. It's not a direct cause. I wish people could think.

Actually, from August 2001 until October 2003 the cannabis laws were invalid. Some people think the prohibition is illegal for recreational users. The law is clearly dead when it comes to medical marijuana.
