I think you need to treat him more like a 2 year old person rhater than a pet you can do whatever you want with. You need to stimulate him more. He also needs to be rewarded when he dosn't atack, and be told no and be sat aside if he does.
I'm no pro in this, and this is just my advices, you can follow them or not. But either way; Good luck!
all coke-drinking aside, i think the bird is just being ornery. he knows you like kathy and as far as he's concerned, he's #1 in your family. or, he knows he makes kathy nervous and he gets gratification out of pestering her. my mom had an amazon that absolutely despised me as a kid, because that was HER mom and she knew i was kind of afraid of her. they really are that smart.

What your bird is presenting is a bit of territorial-ism, especially over you. My suggestion would be to introduce him to a new object every day. Just an object. Start with small things, like pens (capped), chapstick, forks, ect. Then re-introduce Kathy. have her hold out her hand, but do not touch the bird. If you must put him in his cage, do so. When he shows signs of aggression, have her back away. Repeat until Ollie becomes desensitized to her, and give him a reward for being non-aggresive.
i know youve been asking me for advice but i agree with the other people even just a sip of caffine can hurt the caique specially a bird that size that could be the reason he is acting so strange.....or he is just protecting u because he loves you so much but still dont give him any caffine just that little bit cold kill him!!!!!!!!!!!

Caiques are a perfectly appropriate psittacine for the average owner. This is an entirely natural behavior that is certainly not a function of the owners "average" standing. I would recommend both of the aformentioned books, and to dissuade the behavior I would place him in his cage when itpresents. Use a firm "no", and remember ---he's a bird. Some behaviors are just intrinsic to the beast - they like who they like. LOL, but -yes - no soda for a Caique is a good call. LOL

Ollie has had no limits set or enforced in his life—your videos show this. Caiques are not good parrots for the average owner—they are strong willed and need much guidance and enforcement of limits. I highly recommend that you check out Sally Blanchard's "Companion Parrot Handbook", and another book, "My Parrot, My Friend". Mattie Sue Allen also has some great parrot behavior guide books. Learn more about headstrong parrots (for caiques are headstrong!) and change your life with Ollie!

Im gettin a caique in a couple of weeks time. Parrots do knoq when you show fear and when he bit your friend, did she scream, yell or something similar? Parrots like these different reactions either voice or watching the face change expression. Dont let Ollie have anymore coke as its really bad for parrots and you wouldnt want to harm him, would you?

MINE TOO ! , but it's really been lately to find me for the companionship ,he loves to be near me ,on me ,i put him to bed every night like a baby ,he has a blankie and we shut off the lights and i hold hime to my chest and we lay down and he falls asleep ,then i put him in his glove and he sleeps through the night and doesn't make a sound till he hears one ! it's really cute ,but i'm afraid i've spoiled him to much

Your bird should not be allowed to have caffeine in the cola. i would also mention how dangerous it is to have your small bird outside!! not to even mention the danger of him being so close to that pool!! please be careful!! caiques often attack visitors, or even their own owners. for whatever reason your caique does not trust kathy and he is probably also scared of her for some reason. you should simply not stress your bird when kathy is around and keep him in his cage when she visits.
Of course another way to prevent it from attacking Katy is just to kill it by feeding it Coke. What kind of a bird owner are you??? You should know that birds can't have sugar. Do you feed your dog chocolate every day? The bird probably has behavioral issues because of how you treat it.
For example, you grabbing your bird by picking it up is something it doesn't like and it will take this out on other people. It is also running away from you in the video. How you interact with it will effect how it treats other people...
Nothing could be further from the truth. He might not like the camera but it's obvious these people are fucking morons. I own 6 caiques and adopted 2. One was mean as hell but just kept grabbing it and showed it who's boss and he calmed down after 3 days. Some people should just stay away from owning "cute" things they know nothing about.

He might be trying to attack her because he is defending you (his mate). My friend had a bird that was mistreated by not receiving enough human interaction. For some reason it loved my boyfriend but didn't want to be around anyone else. It was acting nice to me one day just sitting on my shoulder and as soon as my boyfriend entered the room it bit me hard on the face and wanted to go to him. Some birds that have behavioral issues will act out negatively by taking it out on other people...
I am not an "expert" but I CAN tell you that caiques do arbitrarily decide who they like and don't like. They can change their favorite person on a whim. Exactly what is behind this is a mystery a lot of the time.
Does Kathy wear a hat? Does she wear colors that you don't? (My friend has a bird that hates hats...and red...and yellow - he is sweet but will attack viciously if he sees any of these, even on his mom!)

You knew coke isn't good for your bird! Why would you even give your bird coke? Birds can't be trained like a dog. they are not pawns.
Hmmmm! My guess is you don't treat your bird like a living thing but rather a pet you might train?
