The metal corner is a silver frame which the black stone or Al-hajar al-aswad is encased in & is located on the eastern corner of the kaba. It dates back to the time of Adam & Eve & according to our Islamic faith the black stone was used by Adam & Eve to build the 1st temple for Allah swt. But the black stone was broken into pieces sometime during 638 930. Initially the stone was shiny white & pure but became blackened due to all the sins it absorbed over the years.

It is a house that Abraham & his son Ishmael rebuilt 4 Allah swt & is located in the grand mosque of Mecca. It is the centre of the Islamic world & every prayer that the Muslim performs is directed towards it. Once a year pilgrims circumambulate it a number of times as part of the process called hajj.
