great tribute! too bad you weren't making trailers back in the early 80's. maybe then more people would have went and seen it. it shouldn't be thought of as just a "cult hit". it's the "taxi driver" of horror/sci-fi films, and it deserves much more respect than it gets.

Saw / Hostel are not horror movies, they are cheap movies that rely on gore only. The THING is a movie that shows the true meaning of horror, just like Ridley Scotts "Alien"

I totally agree. I absolutely can't stand Saw or Holstel or any other torture porn films of that nature. The only thing that is scary about them is the sick minds getting off on making that stuff up. I like horror films that are gonna scare me. Although this film does have some gross out moments the story is not about them where saw and hostel is all about how they can torture people in the most gross out way possible. Crap!

Well the Saw and Hostel movies were a response to the soft teen 90's slasher flicks like Scream and stuff. And what's wrong with reflecting 9/11 and the horrors in Iraq today? well back in the 70's films like Night of the Living Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Last House on The Left etc. all reflected what went on at Vietnam at the time as now the torture movies today reflect the horrors of post-9/11 and the war in Iraw including soldiers being tortured, what's wrong with that?

Nice Trailer though. I have this on DVD Naturally! It's a Classic. Scares the shit outa me evertime I watch it though.

The Dogs scene was always going to be an intredpid one in the Cinema. The Affects in this film are some of the best I've ever seen! And to think that there is another version n the works... CGI is just going to shit all over it. Gr8 Work m8, really. :)

Thanks mate. The new version is actually gonna be a prequel (what happened in the norwegien camp). Personally I think they should leave it alone. its already explained in this movie. This film is a classic and the story doesnt need telling. Im getting bored of sequels, prequels, remakes and real-life cartoons (marvel, transformers etc) when are Hollywood gonna commission an original script/storyline?

if you havent seen this before then you are in for a treat. I've deliberately kept the really gory stuff out of the trailer so it doesnt get taken off but you will need a strong stomach.
