actually, its neither r nor l, its called alveolar flap or tap. english r and l are pronounced differently from the japanese counterpart. well they all are articulated in the coronal region of your mouth though. Well who cares about what sounds we can and cant pronounce anyway.
lol so true, saying ryo rya and ryu is wae harder ne wae. And my jap sensei said japanese people can't say v's very well so yeah, it's not like they really care.
"Emilee", sometimes seen playing the violin, but replacing Waka. Emilee is the daughter of Miyamoto Fumiaki, a world renowned oboe player. Now, she is a solo violin player.
haha right off Wikipedia! Well, yeah that's true, I've heard she left the group around late 2006, not sure though, since I'm seeing so many videos with her still playing with them.
That's because this certain piece was written that way. If they wanted the flute to be featured, they would have the flute written to be the lead. And I don't know what you're talking about. I hear it just fine. If you had some musical background, you would be able to hear it.
you need a musical background to appreciate music? what kind of elitist view is that. Rather you should have said that it's there but it's masked by other instruments.
I can hear the flute just fine, but that's because I play the flute and I know how to listen for it particularly. It's not really masked at all...and no, you don't need a background to appreciate music, but you do need a good background in order to catch things like that. =( Sorry, but I agree with ShibuyaChain.

Why couldn't they do this justice to theme from neverending story too? This is beautiful, they butchered the other song.

How old is Emilee? She is kind of cute, but I think she is too young. The rest of them don't look pretty.

I thought the four members were waka, keiko, yui, and mariko. never heard of emilee before.

The Japanese can't even pronounce the 'L' sound. They would never name their child Emilee.
applesOandOpants 3 years ago
They probly pronounce it Emi-ri, like "Banira mudo" (instead of Vanilla Mood).
Pedrolarrozapretti 3 years ago 2
it's the opposite: the so-called "r" in Japanese is pronounced as an "l" sound

Yui's part at 1:54 is so jazzy... it's heavenly. Best bit of the song, to me.
It's all AMAZING, anyway, as usual.

This version is MUCH better than the one with the extra violin player. You can't replace Waka's flute; it is just too beautiful.
Asain73 5 years ago 2
DITTO!
I agree 150 per cent with you, Asain73.
Emilee (the extra violin player) is never as good as the other girls. Waka is irreplaceble, you're right.
