This is not all that useless, though. It's good for tricking your opponent or weaving in and out of their range to hit with a smash attack.

yer i've been doin some stuff with this, i think all attacks that 'step' when u use them override the slide, e.g. all of CF's smashes (minus usmash) don't slide or his tilts or ne of his specials but his neutral a slides (Y) lol

Yo Samurai Panda, some dude already figured these out before you. He did a vid for Squirtle to show off that huge sliding attack and also a bunch of other things Squirtle can do with his pivots. But technically, you found it out for other characters I guess.

Actually, not quite. They discovered that you can do it with his up-smash (they called it hydro planing) but apparently nobody bothered to figure out WHY they could do it, or even bothered to apply it to other characters. So while yes, someone technically did figure out you could do this, they never figured out the details as extensively as I did.

The sliding F-smash is actually really good for squirlte because as useful as hydroplannig is an F-hydro smash (I'm calling it that) can really put on the mindgames and since it has super armour frames it's just perfect for him. Good find.
