Thank you for your answers. I think its good to have these religious discussions and to build a dialogue so we have better understanding of one another. The west have a fear concerning the islamic religion because they dont know much about it. I am a christian and reading the bible. I will one day read the Koran to have a better understanding of my muslim brothers. We are all children of God. Without God there is not Purpose in life. Enjoy the Ramadam season

Fasting needs to be done in private but muslems make it public and advertise it. God said fasting needs to be in secret and only God and you will know about it. How then is Ramadam fasting? Also During the month of ramadam muslems eat in the early mornings, isnt this just reversing the cycle of when your eating rather the fasting

@sammyzee79 @sammyzee79 yes fasting is an affair thts onlt b/w one person nd his Creator.But tht doesnt mean he has 2 fast secretly.It means tht even if one isnt fasting if he says he is,there is no way for another man 2 prove it,nd if a man says he is fasting nd the other doesnt believe it,then too he has no means 2 prove it.So fasting is something only Allah can knw,wch makes it an affair b/w one nd his Creator alone.

@afreenhafafreen you are right fasting is an affair between himself and the creator. So therefore why should other people know? Even though you cannot prove to other people you are fasting. When you fast dont be sad daced like the hypocrites so their fasting is obvious to people. But when you dast put oil on your head and wash your face , so that you dont show your fasting to people but to your father who is in secret. Fasting needs be a choice not a set bdate. You need to make it personal

@sammyzee79 nd to ur question of muslims eating during early mornings,yes muslims r highly encouraged to take the early morning meal.(It doesnt have 2 b a feast,in fact over eating is discouraged in islam) It is encouraged for many reasons.Its like an early breakfast nd u myt knw what science says abt the importance of breakfast.Plus,ramadan isnt a month wch is devoted only for worship.Ppl r expected 2 do more activities of worship during ramadan but they still have nd can earn for their

for me islam sounds like a business aggreement with God. For christians God is more deeper and personal. It is our choice when we fast, this makes it more special. Why would i want to fast when everyone else fast, theres no meaning behind it. God relationship with everyone is more greater then this, God is with us and we can fast anytime. When you make your own decision when to fast at a time that has no significance it shows that you are with God.

@sammyzee79 livelihood nd go on with their other daily chores.One wud not b able 2 do justice to his worships nd his daily chores if he is too tired durin the day.And this early morning meal will help him keep the fast nd yet b not too tired 2 live the day.Nd yes it can still be called fasting as muslims go on 2 not have food or water very well for more thn 12 hrs atleast.If having dinner in the night b4 u sleep nd then having food in the morning can b called "break fast" then y not this???!!!
