  • what the fuck. The Mac version thanks for wasting my time

  • Thanks for the infomation - it is helpful and it is informative. BUT I continue to be stunned by people who speak badly, present poorly and yet the world seems to think this is okay. Where was your script, and where, especially, was your practice?

  • Mmm.. looks like these vids could be good, however it's now early 2012 and I'm using a Windows version, which doesn't look the same as what's being used here. In fact it took me awhile to find the search box, because it is NOT in the corner like shown here, it's tucked away in the middle column...

  • @bigglyguy I'm using the Mac version.

  • @TheExtraordinaryVids Well 2 weeks on and my Evernote is just sitting on my PC and phone, not being used. My to-do list and calendar ('Jorte') yes, I have some software for capturing and downloading websites and a mindmap program for other stuff. I'm afraid even after trying it for awhile I still find Evernote a solution in desperate search of a problem. Sorry...

  • @bigglyguy Makes sense, if it doesn't work for you don't use.

  • I just got Evernote today. I've used it before, but I sort of found it difficult at first to use it, but now I'm sorta getting the hang of it.

Q: What's the difference between a 'Local Notebook' and a 'Synchronized Notebook'?

  • Thanks very much!

  • I am late to finding this, but fantastic set of videos. I am sharing with my fellow Masters students!

  • @duffybates Thanks! Glad you are sharing with other students. I think students need all the help they can get staying organized. I know I had a tough time in school!

  • Hi Cameron,

Great video - I've been using Evernote more and more, and with the skills for your tutorials I am ready to take it to the next level :)

Can you please share what program/platform you use to create your great videos?

You have picture in picture, you can zoom, you can insert text like 'projects' when you mention that in your video. I will be really grateful, because I am new to creating video.

Thanks in advance and great New Year

    /Thomas, Denmark

  • @Life2NextLevel Screenflow. Thanks!

  • Thank you for making the very usefull Evernote-Tutorials!! :))

  • @skyrabit Thanks!

  • Thanks... I have had this program on my devices for about a year and finally am starting to use it to its potential. Thanks!

  • @galatins220 That's awesome. Evernote has pretty much replaced my previous need to create random Word docs for writing text. Glad the tutorials are helping.

  • How about just how to find the stupid thing? I installed it on my macbook Pro and it says installed, but do you think I can find it anywhere? Duh..... I dumped this piece of shit three years ago for the same reason. Where F is it?

  • Thank you very much for your brief introduction of Evernote. This is my first time using it and i think you are explaining the general features quite clearly.

  • @waninthep Thank ya

  • This video was like watching paint dry. (I know bitchy queen). I hope the rest of these video's get better than this! If so, I'll be sure to give Cameron all my love, but not in this one. And Cameron...ditch the blinding light above your head. It's giving me a headache! Love ya!

  • @pacificatodd Thanks for all the comments, that was quite the marathon. Sounds like in future videos I need more cat and less blinding light. Got it. Thanks for watching.

  • I just spent an important hour watching your Evernote Series here on YouTube. I have looked at Evernote several times over the years and have even downloaded the software at least twice, but never put it into use.

NOW, all of that will change after watching your series. I so wish I'd have seen your work years ago, even though it is less than a year old.

I now get it. I now also regret not starting with Evernote those many years ago.

    Thanks your very much, Cameron,

    Ted

  • @vinzgoo BEST COMMENT EVER!!! Wow, I really appreciate the positive feedback. Glad you are able to use the tool effectively now. Feel free to contact me any time if you have any issues.

  • @vinzgoo isnt that common for macs?

  • Useful stuff. Though I've not seen all of the episodes (yet) but I have a Q. Is there any way to import my thousands of IE,Ffox,Opera and Chrome bookmarks to Evernote? Just a simple solution as a backup of my favourites folders?

  • @pingvin10 Not that I know of. I assume it's not possible...

Thanks for watching and I'd be glad to attempt to answer future questions.

  • @TheExtraordinaryVids Most browsers allow exporting bookmarks. Firefox does under Organize BookMarks|Export HTML. Then create a new note, and attach the HTML/Bookmark file and you now have your bookmarks in Evernote in all the locations you have access.

You can also open the html file in your browser, select all, copy and paste into Evernote (I put into the same file as the attached file). The drawback is all links are in one note.

  • @damianpodcast Thanks for the tip!

  • @pingvin10 you can export your bookmarks from each browser as a single HTML file and then back that up either on evernote (not sure how yet coz im just discovering this app) or using dropbox or another could app. :)

    hope this helps

  • @pingvin10 Looks like @Damianpodcast has a suggestion for your question. See below.

  • Sounds good, looks good, thanks man this is really useful!

  • @sebgiambrone Glad I could help!

  • i hope you don't mind but I saved these videos to my mac... i've been struggling to get the hang of evernote properly for 2 years and I had 9 notebooks which made things difficult... so much easier after watching these vids - you're a lifesaver.

Yeah the videos are long but I like that you overdeliver instead of leaving out details. Cheers mate

  • @daiyaanmusic Glad they helped. Please do save them, share, whatever you want :)

  • Is evernot intended to be used as a document management software? So like if you're scanning PDF's of all your documents. Or is OfficeDrop better for this? I'm not sure I understand the difference between OfficeDrop and Evernote as OfficeDrop has an Evernote integration,

  • @knuddel123 I'm not familiar with Office Drop. Saving PDFs with Evernote is pretty easy: just drag and drop into the note.

  • i love evernote i used it about when phil wasn't the ceo. i didnt really like it bsck then. i just started using it again about 6 months ago and i love it. i use it to remember everything. i love it and iam trying to get other people to use it including my family

  • nice informtations, but you're too slow to explain I think...

  • Very well presented. Thank you. I'm off to watch some of your other videos now. :)

  • @11Mockingbirds Awesome!

  • Thanks!!! Great info.

  • Thanks!!! Great info.

  • Thanks so much. The program is called Screenflow. Works really well, easy to use.

  • Nice job, thank you! I just discovered Evernote and am in love with it. I like the way you put your live video in the bottom. What program do you use to do that?

    Thanks much!
