I never asked Hong Zhitian this question. However I think that, even if it is not there from the beginnings, it must be for quite some time now. Yiquan is quite young. It's roots are in Xingyi as you know. Chuojiaofanzi (at least the one that I do) shares a lot in common with Xingyi or Xinyi Liuhe. That's why sometimes these similarities come out.
The first few movements look just looks like one of the shili exercise in Yiquan.

Do you know if this has always been part of Chuojiao Fanzi or was it an influence of Yiquan?
