Ok HItman Hart. I'm pissed that this shit is labelled as the Misfits. This retarded album sounds like that stupid band Jerry Lonely did with Doyle after Glenn left. That's right Kryst the Conqueror.

I think your really quite accurate and i'll be honest bands are gonna evolve and change sound over time, i just feel that they sound too repetative in the few songs i've heard from the album, unfortunately y'know it just doesnt scream "misfits" to me get what i mean?

nice review dude, i don't care what people say, i like the jerry era, ok not as much as previous eras. IMHO, the album has some great tracks (black hole, land of the dead, jack the ripper) and some patchy tracks (vivid red, curse of the mummys hand), but on the whole its a damn good album, people are being way too harsh on jerry.

Damn you pretty much summed the album up. But damn I think the more hardcore punk and quick thrashy songs on the album were excellent. But yeah. The album gets tedious. But I love it none the less!

Excellent review! Everything was well said &' correct! Sure, this isn't like the old Misfits, but wow this album was actually great! I enjoy every song. We all have to remember that this is a new era &' will obviously not be like the old days. The Misfits are still badass! Jerry Only kicks ass! So does this album! :) tons of respect to the Misfits! :)

This album is way over produced. Jerry Only changed the lyrics to skulls when he plays it live. Jerry slaps the Crimson Ghost on every thing for some CA$H. His voice is way out of tune. The riffs are too clean. I miss dirty songs like Bloodfeast, Death Comes Ripping, Devilock, All Hell Breaks Loose, and American Nightmare. Now we have Jack The Ripper and The Monkey's Paw.

Either way good review dude.

What grabs me is that people buy the dam album expecting danzig to be on vocals, then terrorize others online for that reason. Misfits is much like black sabbath, both names continue on reguardless of past famous singers

This is the new,and btr Misfits,Jerry sounds great, u hate it, eject, but I am sure u will be at the shows still, and have that sticker on ur car....Remember, Glenn works for Satan,that is all good, so, yes, get over it...This is a great album

Why isn't this just a Jerry Only solo album? I mean it's ok and has it's moment but I was honestly expecting a bit more punch to it's delivery considering it's been a decade. Even if its just Jerry Only I think he could of gave it a bit more punch. His singing all in all isn't that bad and I still find parts within it that I still enjoy. I still love th fact they sing all about horror films and such.

I have to admit I feel a bit let down with this new album. I was very excited when I bought it but it just doesn't have the same punch as the old stuff or even as much as "Famous Monsters". This doesn't even feel like the Misfits as it's really just Jerry Only and two other newer guys that don't even stand out in my mind. Not even Baron Von Frannkenstein?? Just Jerry Only. I feel like this is just Jerry Only trying to carry on the legacy of the Misfits is all.

Why can people who "like" this era misfits, album, make asses of themselves and that's okay? Plus this guy (coverkillernation) doesn't like the new album, of course the music suffers cos of the lineup, they have no creativity. This "review" is really funny though, he obviously hates the new album. I have been treating this as a "new era" and it's shit but don't speak your mind, instead make a youtube video having a mental breakdown giving it thumbs up cos it's the "misfits".

I've never picked up a post Glenn Danzig Misfits album and I never will. When Danzig left and Jerry and Doyle wanted to keep doing music under another name I would have embraced that but this? Naw man, ain't gonna happen. I grew up on the Misfits and this ain't the Misfits. Jerrys just cashing in on a name. It would be like if Marky Ramone kept the Ramones going without Joey, Johnny and Dee Dee.

The only think I really miss is Doyle doing the guitar work, I liked his style just a little bit more. Other than that is was not a bad Misfits album, I am just glad to see a new album from them! Fiend 4 Life!

I haven't heard much of their stuff (I plan to soon), but I generally hate the idea of shunning a band's material just because it isn't the "classic" lineup. If everyone thought that way, there'd be tons of great albums that would've bombed. Albums like Heaven & Hell, Back in Black, and many other would-be classics would've been shot down with the pathetic excuse "It's just not the same!".

Don't blow a gasket. If you're going to review albums, you really shouldn't tell people that their opinions don't matter. Your opinion is no more valid than someone else's. If he wants to put the misfits brand on a product, he'd better be prepared to be held to a standard. And he's fallen well below that standard on most of what he's released so far. The Misfits are a brand. I don't have to go listen to Danzig if I want to hear the misfits I want to hear. I can just play the real Misfits stuff.

Personally I'm in the pissed off group, but not because of the mere fact that Jerry Only's taken over; plenty of people hate Michale Graves simply because he's Danzig's replacement, and I openly love his records. I just think the music this band's put together, frankly, sucks; and for that reason, I say that Jerry's beating a dead horse. If this material was decent, or even great, it'd be a different story.
