the clemson player he punched was talking trash to woody's freshmen quarterback Art Schlichter, and if you have a helmet on I think you can take a punch. Also you should do some research on Hayes before you make any assumptions about him, Woody Hayes was a great man on and off the field who sometimes got heated on the field.
The point isn't that Clemson was talking trash to him or his QB or the waterboy, He is a coach, someone that should know better and have higher standards. He shouldn't be punching college athletes.
