i was there and seen it with my own eyes, looked like he lost a bit of traction because they watered the track heavily, bike must have slipped on the up ramp of the rhythm section and made the bike step sidways. then bailed so the bike didn't land on him.

Jay marmonts baby girl died that week and Chad was pushing hard as he could the 1st race and was about to in the second

a decent person would have backed off and let jay have the win that weekend for sake of him family and the loss he suffered

so i believe that chad deserved that crash for being heartless

@budgienutz dude with all do respect...i do agree that its horrible from what happened to jay marmont and his daughter but i hardly believe that chad should of taken a dive to let jay win....what happened to jay was not chads fault...he couldnt of done anything about it and im sure chad reed is sorry for jay marmonts loss...but that had nothing to do with motocross and u can hardly call chad heartless for trying to win a race..thats their career..they do what they have to..and thats to win......

yeah.. but he is a pro and he knows about jumping and a turn plus that turn was not 90 degreesis. it like 40 degrees angle. i remember he had one like this one two year ago and he did't let the bike off.

i spose Reeds was just a little mistake turned bad, i crashed 4th gear flat out on an approx 20-30 degree turn/jump to flat broke hangers, left foot peg & twisted front fender, suprisingly i walked away fine...except i couldnt see cause the visor on the helmet snaped & was covering my eyes lol

nothing really strange about it, thats what happens when you jump whilst still turning, say its a left turn your body goes left but the bike goes straight so it throws you off balance, but his one looked preety nasty

how did that happen? u cant dog on him for crashing like that. ive had times where my bike got away from me. not paying attention and blurbed the throttle and fell off the back LOL it happens. rarely but it happens. im stumped to know how this happened though
