  • NIGGERS!!

  • if you need a new flint i had a $1 butane lighter and i took it apart and used the flint from that one

  • To the person with the tight wick....try taking out all the rayon balls and pulling out the wick....it may be tightly packed and the rayon balls are keeping it from moving

  • let's pretend it's a scissors....but it's really not.

  • lol, 'pull out it's a little tight'

  • i tried pulling but it didnt wok i need help

  • @NonConformist0130 Someone answered your comment. ;) (2N3RDy)

  • thanks man

  • I use my zippo for both smoking and tricks so i have burnt out the whole wick. Im having trouble finding a store that sells them though. I just went to the smoke shop only to learn that the owner did not sell them but however did not even know what they were... FAIL. But if anyone knows a wide known store please reply. Would really appreciate it. Thanks

  • They say the wick should last a year mine lasts like two weeks what's going on!

  • Thanks a Bilion ! :)

  • My wick is extremely tightly fixed in and it won't come out at all when I pull on it with my needle nose pliers, I am not stupid and knew that if it wasn't coming out as easily as it should in this video I shouldn't keep just pulling at it with all my strength because I'll probably break something in the process. Can you please take a guess at why it won't come out?(By the way it is a genuine zippo)

  • Comment removed

  • well why don't you take of the one that lock the flint first

  • @sexybeastx69 It's a clock ringing at the hour.

  • tired pulling my wick out and it ripped to shreds, thanks anyways

  • Awesome vids man!!!

  • same multitool as mee haha

  • @asger123456789 I got the same thing dude. You can buy the rayon balls online though

  • y not just put it in the top

  • thanks for the help i didnt have the foggiest how to change the wick and this video was very educational for me and it helped me a lot :)

  • I didnt know there was more wick in the zippo thanks for the help

  • Thanks!!!!

  • How is the camera shaking so much? Is he moving it with his tongue?

  • I love my Beautiful Zippo, when she needs servicing, I find it all too easy to dip my wick into that tight little hole.

  • @sexybeastx69 i think the first noise was a co co clock?and the next one was another clock?

  • Its four o'clock!

  • cococococo

  • I have shown how to replace a zippo wick on my channel 1080p hd and commentary if anyone would care to look

  • can you put cotton balls in the zippo if it doesnt have enough rayon balls?

  • @iLoveMewzic yes as long as its 100% cotton

  • Thank You So Much!!!! Without Your Videos, I would have bought 3 new zippos!!!

  • when would you send it back to the factor? what dose the factory do?

  • Thank you, I just fixed my zippo

  • The main reason rayon is used as opposed to cotton is because rayon will not fall apart like cotton could, the fibers are longer and hold together better. Cotton, being composed of cellulose, might also chemically decompose when soaked in lighter fluid for a long time.

  • Why did he close his account????

  • @zippolover14 someone hacked it

  • idk if u have heard of this but it is a metal fuel tank. you take out all the cooton balls (all 5) you unscrew the flint houseing and you fill the tank insert it and the fuel dose not evaporate out as fast and the company is called dimond i think its a japan company and it is a relly nice add-on you might want to look into.

  • Where can you get a new spring that holds the flint and a new screw?

  • one of my zippos has like 7 cotton balls any idea y?-

  • would it be easyer to put the flint in down the hole where it was oraginal was ?

  • what was the name of that other company that sells flints and fluid?

  • how often do u need to replace the wick? and how can you tell

  • and also when i try to pull the wick from the top it just breaks off and wont pull up..?

  • can you do this process if u have fluid in ur zippo already?

  • Jeff, do you know of anyplace where I can get a slim felt pad? If not, I can just trim down a regular one?

  • i first read 'replacing a dick

thumbs up if you did it too

  • Nice!.. straight to the point, helped me out Thx! Now how about a video showing your vast Zippo collection. I too am fascinated with them, and rarely smoke.

  • forgot to tell us about the copper wiring...

  • Never knew that - thanks man!

  • Very informative! Thanks man!

  • Cheers man worked for me well mine is a fake zippo or just an ordinary flip lighter but it works fine now thank you

  • Thanks mate

  • i have a fake zippo

does the instructions you gave works on fake zippo?

  • lol wut? u have to put a new one in? can't you just pull and pull forever?

  • @mQtek

Sometime it gets too short and can't absorb fuel good enough.

  • gracias!!!!!! me ayudo muchisimo... mi puntaje un 10!

  • Very informative, thank you!

  • my felt pad ripped but not all the way

  • Chimaney?

  • Good video explaining about the wick. One of the biggest reasons Zippo lighters get hard to light is because the flint wheel gets dull. I've found over a lot of years if you buy the Zippo brand flints only, the wheels last longer. Other brand flints (especially Ronson brand) are too hard, and cause premature wear of the wheel. Of course all Zippos have a lifetime guarantee, and they will repair it for free if you mail it back to them. Just google zippo fo find their website.

  • thanks, really helpful!

  • @RAZORBBQ why would a 12 year old ever need a lighter? I'm 16 and I smoke occasionally...

  • @curo5 Well aren't you just the coolest motherfucker around.

  • @curo5 fireworks.

  • Hey Bud, I'm a magician who does a lot of tricks in Ireland with Fire and Lighters. I got me a lighter it's a Dora which are supposed to be pretty good. I'm after cutting the wick, changing the flint (which is working perfectly) and filling it with fluid, but the wick doesn't always catch the spark-- should I cut off a little more wick? Or put in a little more fluid?

  • thank jeff i think its jeff i'll just call cutlery im 12 years old and i have my very firsrt lighter and u help me changed my wick my lighter is a dehoo not a zippo but it's close enough for me cause i'm not aloud to have a lighter so yeah so far i've changes the flint and now my wick once i get lighter fuel my dehoo will be brand as new yesh

  • Pff I bought a zippo, the wick gets black in less than a week, it's allready almost gone from cutting it off. The flint is raped because the wheel doesnt spark anymore....I dont even have it a month and its allready like this...wtf people say the wicks should last at least a year before replacing....well not mine

  • @ghember get a new flint

  • man that wick is bigger than my,,,, dick.

  • i have something long and pointy in my pants

  • nham?

  • Thanks so much this helped out alot

  • HELP every time i try to pull the wick out to replace it it keeps breaking plz replay

  • i practiced replacing the wick with my previous one and i just couldn't get it in there :S

  • Thanks!

  • U WNT THROUGH EVERYTHING AND SOMED EVERYTHING UP IN ONE VIDEO 8 MINS LONG AWESOME WORK THANKS :D

  • THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INFO! IVE HAD A ZIPPO FOREVER....MY QUESTION IS SHOULD THE SCREW BE TIGHT OR LOSE?

  • thanks again thats a great help

  • Wha~ thanks man

  • lol i have the same clock

  • Thats what she said lol, noice vid man helped me quite a bit

  • Your videos are always so helpful

  • thanx this vid realy helped me

  • Hey thanks that video was really helpful. I was wondering... i have two venetian style zippos. one of them has a very big flame but the other one since i ve gotten it has a small flame. How can i make it bigger?

  • @MsMkary You wanna move the wick away from the flint, move it towards your cap and hinge, the farther towards the hinge it is, the bigger your flame. Be careful to do it gradually though, I've burned my hand by moving it over too far.

  • if you have or find empty an empty disposable butane lighter, like BiC lighters or those cheap clear plastic ones, you can get a really nice, long lasting flint from them!

Just pop off (carefully! Spring tension!) the sparking wheel and under it will be the flint. I haven't had to buy flints in years. I love BiC flints, they're almost twice as long as official Zippo flints, and are basically free.

  • so if i am living in latvia is it legal to ship zippos and fuel flints and wicks

  • heheheheh.... long and pointy.... :L

  • if my wick is burned out, can I use the ones in candles?

  • @rdescosar26 you cannot use a regular candle wick, they are quite different. Zippo/zippo-type lighter wicks have very very thin copper wire spiraled around them to give them structure. Perhaps the wick from a small lantern might work, but in that case getting an actual zippo wick would probably be much easier.

  • @SBwingman thanks man :-)

  • POINTY TOOLS! :D

  • 39 People Fell Stupid because they just bought a wick pack

  • To slaymonkey117, Apparently it's a clock, if you didn't see the 30 replys lol. Oh and thanks for the video, helped a lot, especially the layering the wick part.

  • thanks man

  • Thanx Mate i thought id have to get rid of mine and it holds alot of senitmental value (deceased brother) now his lite can shine on again and its all thanks to YOU! Gotta buy u a beer or sumfin :)

  • what could i use as a substitute as a wick?

  • more zippo tricks

  • put the wick in through the top

  • What are the wicks made of? I heard they used to be made of asbestos.

  • @TacticalTarheel Thought asbestos is harmful? but I think some are made from hemp

  • @iEatMinxyPeopleOMNOM Plus asbestos wouldn't soak the fluid up, and they're mostly made from synthetic fibres because they're cheap, easy to make, etc.

  • Awesome, brutha... thanks.

  • Nevermind haha

  • Could you just use cotton balls?

  • helped soooooo much

  • I dont understand why you made this so complicated. first of all, use twizers to pull out the cutton, they wont get ruined. second of all, its much easier to insert the wick from the chimny and then pull it with the twizers so it will go inside. this way you dont waste an hour trying to put the wick into the hole. and last one just take the damn screw out and make it easier to pull off the top of the cutton... lol, men just have to make everything so hard and complicated hehehe

  • thank you man big help..i dont smoke ether but i got a zippo ;]

  • @trevor6744 just take it out and put it back in

  • your like jesus w/ a lighter! lol , and if you use a different flamible fluid what will happen?

  • @phish8000 it will burn the cotton pad things. like lighter fluid.if u use that, the flame will go down into the cotton thing and burn it all up

  • Cheap wlints and wicks w w w dealextreme com/p/teampistol-flint-and-wick-set-11-piece-4049

  • thanks man, great help!!

  • I remember being told that a womans tampon is also a good substitute for a Zippo wick. I haven't tested it yet but it seems like it could work.

  • hey can anyone tell me what the tab on the on the zippo is for its the little flip tab that sits on the chimney thx

  • @godofwar078 you fucking dumb! BrutAl42Zero is smart

  • Thx

  • Really helpful man, thanks a lot.

  • hey another thing is that if your wick and flint are messed up just get a $5 zippo knock off lighter at a gas station and use that flint and wick lol

  • @BRutAL42Zero yeah right. play with lighters at a gas station...

  • @godofwar078 can you not read??? i said buy a cheap knock off zippo and take that home and use it for " parts" i never said play with it at a damn gas station.

  • @BRutAL42Zero Dude you said start knocking it off at a GAS STATION quote: "knock off lighter at a gas station"

i call that playing with a lighter, imbecile. You realy think it is smart to that at a gas station/ Do you know what a gasstation is? Fucking retard.

  • @godofwar078 The term "knock off" refers to a product not being from the real brand. (ie a copy) In this case, when he said "knock off lighter" he meant that you could buy a cheap "Zippo-copy" at a gas station.

    I hope I "spread some light" over the situation. :) (u c what I did there...? ;) )

  • @BRutAL42Zero does it actually works??

  • @circaboy yea

  • thanks! now i can smoke some more bowls with my zippo :)

  • @seagunt1 yeah and inhale some awesome lighter fluid smoke that is amazing for your lungs

  • Mine is a zippo style lighter and it's just one long cotton ball thats kinda stuck to the wick and screw possibly with glue, when my wick goes should I just buy a real £10 zippo to save me the trouble of messing up the innards or my insert?

  • Jeff, Thank you for the video,Once you see it done it then makes sence. I did not know the wick was that long. Regards,Scott

  • 37 people can stick, wick, flint, fluid and all, where the sun don't shine.

  • thumbs up if you heard the clock

  • i have the same leatherman like you! :D

  • Last wick I replaced came with a wire tool to push the wick thru. Also, I found it easier to replace from the top

  • OMG I HAVE THAT SAME SCREWDRIVER!!

  • little advice: update with hd videos ;)

  • My friend .. You are an artist :) You are great at what you do, and love you´r videos .. :)

  • Is Flint the same as wick? Where do you buy flint at?

  • @joydarling314 No, the flint is the little wheel you spin to make the spark. You should get spare flints too, if you use the zippo a lot.

  • Is Flint the same as wick?

  • I love you man!! I gonna buy zippo, even though i dun smoke!

  • @miiigoreng Me too... well actually I was getting the toxic one and they declined my gift card but I got an anarchy one off amazon.

  • 36 people didn't pull out

  • is that a doorbell sound. lol

  • thanks for the heads up! big help, thanks again

  • as i pull out... its gonna be kinda tight but...

so many suggestive quotes in this video lol

  • once you replace it it lights up even brighter than before.. idk why but it also looks alot cleaner once you pull it up than how i got it and its now even with the chimeny instead of halfway down... use tweasers if you dont have these pliers and i recomend when you get your zippo pull it up to the chimeny first

  • my screw is stuck In my zippo and I can't get it out. Any suggestions?

  • @MegaExplosives the gold screw with your flint and spring? just get a flathead screwdriver and keep working at it. mine was pretty tight too but youll get it trust me
