  • hey man will it work with an in dash head unit and its a jensen vm9224bt

  • @FamousTeK I think so

  • thanks bro it really helpme

  • That's cazy, i was just playin that shit with the wife last night lol

  • gonna test this on the vm9314 in a lil bit when i install it if anyone wants to know the outcome message me here and ill reply

  • sweet im about to buy a new radio, was looking on how to make a switch but hopefully i can just do this instead and bypass it without installing one!

  • so why do u have the swich then?

  • @jfisher926 I had the switch before I knew the code

  • Ok I'll upload a video tomorrow of my stereo. Without a switch or the parking brake on. And I have the vm9312hd. And I hooked my friends up. Who has the same as yours with the SD card slot. All you have to do is place the pink wire on the black ground. I admit you switch is cool. And it looks cool with all the other switches in your car. But is not needed.

  • @FCMeade nowhere in the video or the description does it say this is for the HD models. this video was made over 3 years ago.

  • You know the pink wire that your suppose to connect to the parking brake. If you will simply connect that wire to the black ground when connecting the head unit. You don't have to hook up a special switch or even go to the system settings. Good video tho.

  • @FCMeade This particular model requires a sequence to bypass. I even put a nice little annotation that says "The switch is grounded" to show I still got the blue screen even with the parking brake wire grounded, but unfortunately I keep getting comments like yours. If anyone reads this please click thumbs up so others can read it. thanks

  • Thank you for the tip on how to bypass the parking break. It worked like a charm, only took me a few seconds to fix mine (Model VM9223) which worked as well.

    :-):-)

  • Put up a video of your car

  • great vid man worked perfect on my jensen UV-10

  • @juniortoda i sent you my email...

  • @juniortoda is there anyway you could make a video on how to wire everything... also do you think i need a bigger power inverter than 250w since its a xbox 360? jw... thanks again bro...

  • @xXMERK3158Xx I got rid of the video camera I had but if you give me your email I whip up and send you a diagram. The first 360's to come out had 203 watt power supply's and the newer one's kept using less and less wattage so 250 is sufficient. Just make sure it's 250 watts constant power, not peak power.

  • Awesome video, and thanks for the help. You should check out seller radonich1 on eBay or my videos for parking brake bypasses that work with all newer Pioneer, JVC, Sony, Clarion, and Eclipse radios.

  • @juniortoda no it didn't have a sequence... but about the 360 what kind of power inverter and where to get it and how do i hook it up? thanks for all the help so far...

  • @xXMERK3158Xx Well if there's no sequence I don't know why you didn't just ground it. As for what power inverter, I'd go with at least a 250 watt inverter. It has 2 wires, one goes to the positive, the other one to the negative, but I'd use a relay to break continuity between the negative or else you'll drain your battery even if the switch is off on the inverter.

  • @juniortoda got the stereo in and put in the rocker switch and it works perfect... Thanks for the help and video... Next project is putting my xbox 360 in... Don't know how to go about with it but I'll figure it out... Thanks again man!

  • @xXMERK3158Xx No problem. Does your head unit have a sequence to bypass the screen? If you need help when installing your 360 feel free to hit me up. The main thing your going to need is a power inverter.

  • @juniortoda do i take my cars brake wire with my aftermarket wire harness and connect that to one side of the toggle switch and take another wire to the other side and ground that?

  • @xXMERK3158Xx just the wire parking brake wire from your head unit goes to the switch

  • @juniortoda thanks... I'm putting it in this week I'll let you know how it works out...

  • @juniortoda ok thanks man... But could I just use a toggle switch to bypass it that way? Also how do you hook up the switch?

  • @xXMERK3158Xx you should have a parking brake wire(usually pink) coming from the harness. try gounding it to bypass, if that doesn't work connect it to a switch and then connect a short wire from the other side of the switch to ground. chances are there is a sequence to bypass the screen. check your manual

  • i have the jensen vm9224bt and it doesnt come with a remote what should i do?

  • @xXMERK3158Xx I think they changed the menu system for that model so the bypass would probably be different as well.

  • You should have a video that shows o. How u hooked ur xbox 2 your car I'm planin 2 do something similar but idk how

  • @valadezjose47 if you check out my carputer video you can get an idea of how I had it hooked up

  • Good looking out dude

  • sick car

  • lovin the CRX!!

  • @BigRed1134 thanks, but it's a Prelude

  • Check out my system i just installed it

  • check out my cd player is awsome

  • this works with the phase linear uv9 thank you!!!!!

  • remote bypass didnt work :-( so im just grounding it

  • so Im wondering if that jensen unit is worth the buy. I saw that it was installed in your nice ride, so to be installed in there I would think it was. its just that its a jensen and I thought jensen was a cheap brand. so is it worth it, because I want to buy one if it is.

  • @MrMexicanaztec it's good for if your buying your first deck

  • THANKS

  • Comment removed

  • Dude! You are the man! Just installed a Jensen UV10 in my buddies car and this worked perfect! You Rock Homie!

  • WTF u playin super Mario 3 for nintendo on xbox?

  • Anybody find this to work for the Jensen VM9324? (it's basically the updated version of the 9224 which does work).

  • Comment removed

  • will this definately work on the jensen vm9412??

  • @MrCaddillacMan if you have the same menu as in the video then it should work

  • Bro how baked are u?

  • lol its the same like Audiovox VME 9309 TS

  • My screen is just blank but you still can change station and things on the touchscreen but i can't see. Do you know how to fix this?

  • how do u put the switches in with the xbox to turn it on and off

  • @keer1lc one switches is for the power inverter, and the one on the dashboard has 2 wires that go to the xbox and are soldered inside the xbox. so basically I have 2 power buttons

  • just ground it you dumb ass! grounding it will by pass it duh this shit is so old......

  • @Trance4You69 wow noob, go educate yourself before posting ignorant comments like this

  • good god you just saved my ass. I was about to take apart the dash tomorrow looking for where to connect the brake wire so I could watch movies. Works great on Jensen VM9224

  • how do you bypass it on a jensen vm9214?

  • @mackie0116 not sure, try grounding the pink wire

  • this also works for the VM9224 you should add that in your title because this is the only video and help for the VM9224 on the internet. thanks for the video i been tryna bypass this bullshit for 2 days and i dont want to use a toggle switch or that other shit..

  • I don't get it... Why don't you just ground the parking brake wire to begin with? I did this on my car stereo/dvd player and played movies while driving all the time.

  • @thetreman wow, this is getting old. If you paid attention you'd notice the wire is grounded and the blue screen still appears. This deck requires a sequence to bypass.

  • vm9512 only not the hd model

  • @resa23np When did you buy yours? I got mine 3 years ago and it came with the Medialink 3 and it doesn't play mpeg1 videos. The decks available now probably have newer firmware and they come with the Medialink 4 which can play videos.

  • @juniortoda i bought it on september of 2009 and yes it came with media link 4 but supposely on the manual it says that you cant reproduce videos or images from an sd or usb. in my case i reproduce videos from an sd. i will make a video later on and show you how it looks. you should try doing the process that i did of converting videos and put the mpeg video on the sd

  • @resa23np I tried, doesn't work. It doesn't matter, I'm installing a car PC so all my files will play off my hard drive.

  • hey man i really need help my screen is black but the stereo turns on and there is a stuck cd in it could you help

  • i have a dual, and it need a code...i bypass it and it need a code to put it for it to active....HELP

  • @keithahfua need more info. what model do you have?

  • My boss touchscreen needed the same and I hooked it to a switch and when on the video came on when off no show.many ways to out smart things these days!and helpful video since im about to get one just like yours.thank you

  • @MAN1AK213 if you paid attention to the video, you'd notice when the xbox is turned on the wire is initially grounded, yet I still get the blue screen. I even added an annotation for people like you stating "The switch is grounded" so people would stop saying "hey man, why don't you just ground the pink wire". It doesn't work, that was the first thing I tried when I got my deck.

  • yo wat up! i was wondering if u knew how to do it without the control remote, i lost mine, thx

  • @chochilitico don't think it's possible

  • hey man i yesterday installed these jensen unit! but i have some questions maybe you could help me i want to play youtube videos but what program do you use to convert them and what program do you use to burn them and in what mode dvd mode or normal cd mode? can usb or sd card play image and video and in what format or resolution?

  • @resa23np Total Video Converter is a good program to use. You can convert them to Divx and burn them to a blank DVD, just make a Data disk. There's a lot of programs you can use to burn them. Nero a good one. You can't play videos from usb or sd, only music and photos.

  • @juniortoda i have this same deck and yes you can play video from usb and sd cards

  • @dubsidedude2010 I got mine 3 years ago and it doesn't. The decks available now have been upgraded and come with the Medialink4. Mine came with the Medialink3.

  • @juniortoda oh ok gotcha

    sorry for the mixup

what type of file do the videos have to be cuz it doesnt seem liek i can ever get any videos i put on usb/sd/ or cd to play

  • @dubsidedude2010 try burning to dvd-r

  • hey man i finally got a way to reproduce videos from an sd and usb first i download the videos from youtube using keepvid on mp4 format with 480 x 360 resolution important has to be with these resolution, then you have to transform with the ojosoft total video converter 2.7.2 to avi format in (archos 404/405-DIVX4, 2500 kbps, 29.97fps, 320x 240), after you have converted the video you have to convert the avi video to mpeg in (MPEG1 1150 kbps, 29.97fps, original frame size: Audio 224kbs)

  • hey bro great video, tried it right now with the 543210 and works lovely. thanks

  • How loud is your head unit fan noise? Is it noticeable?

  • @easaly It's been a while since I've had it in my car, but as far as I can remember, it's wasn't noticeably loud.

  • great video bro. is there a code for the vm9414 or do I have to do it some other way? thanks again.

  • @blindside1085 I'm not sure about this model. If anyone knows please help this guy out.

  • hey man how did u put the x box in the car. how u get the power to the x box ?

  • @MrRobertoesparza I used a power inverter.

  • for decks that dont have that override in the firmware that you showed you can just put the ebrake ground wire on a relay when the radio comes on put it on the amp output lead which will provide the delay

  • @trextegra It's not a delay, it's a sequence. The wire is initially grounded, has to be ungrounded for 2-3 seconds, then re-grounded in order to bypass the blue screen. Depending on the deck you have, you might be able to get away with just grounding the wire directly to the body of the car.

  • Do i still got to ground the parking break or can i jus put in the code and ill be good?

  • @jjones3144 just the code

  • one problem, i don't have a remote...lmaoooo

  • what do you mean wen using the code?....

  • @keithahfua the code in the video

  • hey! how do you ground the wire? i got mine connect to my E=break.... can you rec. and show us how to do it please? thankz bro. by the way, like the car... i got a 04 monte ss supercharged...

  • @keithahfua there's no need to ground the parking brake wire when using the code

  • @shawnnyman what model is your jensen, and did you buy the head unit used?

  • @juniortoda as far as i know its not used. i bought it off ebay. its the UV8. i didnt even think of the different models. sorry about that man

  • @shawnnyman no worries

  • Just picked up this HU tonight. Thanks for the video, definitely gonna be using that secret menu option.

  • i noticed how your car is high tech can u make a your of your car and how u did everything from switch's to wiring

  • I'm upgrading my setup at the moment so almost everything's out of the car. I might do one when everything's back in. The new setup is going to include a 360, a carputer, and a 12" touchscreen.

  • @juniortoda ight ima be on the look out for that video so im a sub to your page if you sub to mines

  • ok an RCA splitter and connected to the sub preamp output?

  • @naireland Mine is grounded directly to the body and works great!!!

  • according to a few sources online, this will also work on the VM9313 which I will be installing soon and can post back with results if anyone cares

  • would u recomand this 7 inch for playing games in the car i want to get a 15 inch

monitor then ill still have a stock raideo

but u can get a nice deck for $100

  • Go with the 15 inch for games. I'm upgrading to a 12 inch touchscreen for my carputer and 360.

  • i lost my old remote wuld new1 work

  • It should work. Make sure it is a Jensen and it looks the same as the original that came with your deck. I can use my remote on my brothers VM9022 and his remote works on mine.

  • What If you don't have the remote then what?

  • find someone with a Jensen and use their remote. it doesn't have to be the exact model as yours, as long as it has the same menu it should work. you only have to do this one time and your set

  • it also works if you just connect the pink wire to the ground. thats how mine is. i just hope i dont burn anything up that was. if i am in danger of damaging my deck PLEASE let me know lol. cus i just got it!

  • that doesn't work, watch the video the wire is grounded and I still get the blue screen.....why don't people pay attention?

  • thats pretty nice man.. hows the sound quality of that jensen? thats not bad for the price @ all. i see some on ebay. i want a indash hella bad lol.. what are some brands to stay away from?

  • sound quality is good but it depends on your speaker setup. I would recommend an amp to power your speakers. as far as brands to stay away from, I'm not sure bro

  • does it have a usb port?

  • yes, it's on the external MediaLink box

  • howd u wire ur xbox to turn on by switch?

  • I soldered two long wires to the powerboard inside the xbox and connected the other ends to a momentary switch

  • @dubsidedude2010

    dude not the xbox.

    only the securitysystem

  • wut?

  • he has a moded x box. I had this too. love it until the three ring came on

  • What kind of wire did u use to run the switch? Or how did u do it

  • the head unit has a pink parking brake wire that I hooked to one side of the switch, the other side was connected to ground. YOU DON'T NEED A SWITCH IF YOUR USING THE CODE

  • how did you get your xbox to do that?

  • I modded it

  • does the pink wire/the parking brake wire have to be hooked up to anything for this code to work or can it jsut not be hooked up at all to anything?

  • it doesn't need to be hooked up to anything with the code

  • ok.. cuz im getting this same one for christmas and i wanted to no if i needed to hook like ground it then put the code in then i could unhook it or i could just putt he code in as soon as i hook the radio up without hookin up the brake wire

  • just punch in the code. no wire required

  • THANKS! your vid really helped!

  • thanx man for the jensen vm9213 it realy works

    20 stars for you

  • just cut the wire and attatch 2 the cage simplez

  • doesn't work, the wire is grounded and I still get blue screen. you should pay more attention

  • it works for the uv7i?

  • Code worked on my uv10

  • Good looks on the knowledge.

  • Thanks for that bro!!!

  • yo thats hottt...how did you get that fce ultra x on there?

  • well first you have to mod your Xbox (either hard modding it or soft modding it) then you can copy whatever files you want to it using your pc and a crossover cable. do a search there are plenty of tutorials online

  • please send me the link to the tutorial

  • go to xboxscene.c o m and click on tutorials. your going to need an original copy (not a platinum hits version) of one of the following games: 007 Agent Under Fire, Mech Assault or Splinter Cell

  • thank bro it works for the jensen uv9 thanks

  • 3rd gen prelude?

  • yeah

  • ay how do u boost the bass on these dvd players

  • u touch da screen and da equilizer pops up and u turn it all the way up..and if u dnt have subwoofers u turn off da subwoofer mode dat should do da job

  • Thanks for the tip!!

  • is this a good stereo to buy or does it fuk up alot?..

  • I've had it for over a year now and haven't had any problems with it.

  • i just did it for my vm9312hd and it works perfectly thanks for the info

  • now do u have the ground wire grounded to the parking brake or just somewhere else bc i saw a video were someone did that thing with the 543210 like u did but the didn't have any switches and had the ground wire on the parking brake and it worked fin, just wondering, plz reply

  • no, the parking brake wire is not connected to anything anymore. I unhooked it since you don't need to have it connected using the code shown in the video.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! 4 THE TIP,was usefull

  • awesome video... great info...but can you play ipod videos from your ipod...and view them through the headunit??thanks

  • I'm not sure, I don't have an ipod to test this out, but I think you can.

If anybody has tried this please post if it works or not.

  • yes you can, BUT you need the Jlink cable, also you cant go through the videos are anything through the headunit. you will need to do it through the ipod

  • Works perfect on the Jensen VM9312HD however when you go to the setup menu you enter 543210 under the general tab not under language

  • just wondering if the Dual XDVD8181 has a master code so i dont have to install a toggel switch? and if it does how do you do it

  • First you have to ground the E-Brake wire. You can tap into the ground wire for the stereo.

    -Insert a DVD

-Let it play until you hear sound

    -Press STOP twice on remote

    -Enter 26604

    -Press ENTER

  • thanks for the info

  • Worked on the 9412 like a charm, thanks brotha!

  • tiburcio48 is right its grounded all the time so you dont have to hooke it up to a switch.......i did it to my friends jensen it worked just fine and played dvds, xbox, and ps3

  • no, that doesn't work. watch the video, when I turn on the xbox the wire is grounded and I get the blue screen. I unground the wire for two seconds, and then reground. please do your research before posting incorrect info on something you've never tested yourself. your method might work for other decks and older Jensen models but not on this one.

  • all you people are so slow you dont have to do all this work just to see your DVD the easier way is to connect the pink wire with the nigative black wire then it will work you dont need no switch

  • first of all the purpose of the video is to not use a switch, second your method wouldn't work because the pink wire has to be ungrounded for 2 seconds, and then regrounded. can you tell me exactly how you would do that if you connected the pink wire directly to ground?

  • good info guys thanks!

  • this didnt work for my VM9312, what else can i do?

  • did you highlight "Language" under the setup menu?

  • never mind, i wasnt holding the 0 button long enough, thanks alot this worked perfectly

  • just did this on my vm9212n, worked great thx

  • how did u hook up you power converter like that
