  • Would you recommend this for someone who has Asthma? Not for doing intense workouts like you just did, but for using a treadmill, or heavybag, maybe sprints.

  • @BloodSpawn33 Please ask your doctor.

  • @PerformanceMMA My doctor is honestly a complete idiot. He told me to blow through a toilet paper tube to run tests. What could that possibly do to further the studies for Asthma patients. Unless he was playing me. He is a 25 year old with no experience.

  • @BloodSpawn33 if you have asthma perhaps you should train till you get over your asthma.

  • @BloodSpawn33 I'm a chronic bronchitis sufferer, which makes it hard to breath everyday. I use this for my runs, crossfit and any other cardio. It has helped me breath better and has helped me clear up my lugs by getting the nasty flem out . I like it and use it as much as I can. with no filter in, you at 2thousand feet and that's what I started with. It's easier to take off if your really gasping for air. Hope this helps.

  • @police111b Thanks. Really helpful, maybe even some inspiration coming on haha.

  • @BloodSpawn33 Yes, I myself have severe asthma and have had it since birth. I know don't worry about it at all. Haven't had an attack in sometime now because my lungs are alot stronger. Just have to take it easy the first week.

  • Anyone knows Psysho Mantis?........ Uhhhhh? thumbs up !!

  • is an obsession over gas masks healthy?

  • love how discrete the mask is... can't even tell you're wearing it...

  • @LosAngelasBasketball True. I hardly get noticed running near schools and government buildings!

  • Ge out of here STALKER

  • why wear this pro mask instead of the expand a lung trainer? I havent tried either but damn i think just the mouth piece one would be better. Sure as will look better

  • I got one. Was rediculously hard at first. Just started on the orange attachment (12,000). Would love to be able to test my red blood cell count to see if it has increased.

  • I want one they r like 80 bucks.

  • what is the inner hook piece infront of the mouth area?

  • @63champion63 I think it is for a drinking attachment? There is no such attachment made by the manufacturer, but this probably is from the original gas mask design. Anyone else have a better answer?

  • @PerformanceMMA so im guessn it works?

  • @PerformanceMMA It's an Israeli 4A1 civilian gas mask design. That's the attachment for a drinking tube.

  • @spartain543 Thank you, that's what I thought.

  • this is a Israeli civilian gas mask you can get for 5 pounds its a scam at there price there selling

  • This look effective but

    - its look crazy :P

    -it's expensive

what i do now is get my mouth piece in and wrap a t-shirt double thick on my mouth then go for a jog try this before spending your money on stuff like this, which with whatever i say look very effective just a trick to get a try before buying XD

  • im gonna buy one of these-im gonna start my training for royal marines :)

  • how big are the holes??

  • @jelledejager I would compare them to a thin straw (diameter). FYI the red nose-piece has only one open hole. The orange has two and the yellow has three open holes.

  • I have glasses would i able to wear it easily?!

  • @pprreessttoonn112 I don't think so... I tried it w/ my sunglasses. The glasses fit inside, but the arms that go over your ears would break the seal; letting additional air in. Maybe with very slim wire frames??

  • @PerformanceMMA :'( guesss I could wear it with out glasses until i get contacts :"(

  • Why dont you just wear a bag over your head.. poke a few holes in it

  • This is a class action lawsuit in the making...

  • nevermind lol, barely saw that part

  • Imagine using this AT elevation. HOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT

  • So if the yellow is for 6,000 feet above sea level, and you're already a mile above sea level, then would you add 6,000 feet to that to get an idea of the amount of oxygen you're getting (or rather not getting)? I'm wondering if that's the formula. Thank for putting up the video btw!

  • why would you buy this...

you can get these masks for 20 dollars at amazon or any army dump

It's the israeli n.4 gas mask

  • these things are a scam unfortunately. You should live low oxygen and train high oxygen. You adjust if ya sleep and chill high up (low oxygen). So than if you train sea level (higher oxygen) it will make you train longer, better and harder because your body is getting more energy when it deamands it. sleeping and chilling in higher O and then training with lower O will just stress your body and is detrimental to skill building, and growth in most aspects. Does that make logical sense?

  • @Madorem unfortunately for most people you are right. What people need to do is use the mask all the time(workout and around the house), to simulate higher altitude life. Then when you do your normal workout or sport or whatever you preform better.

  • @Madorem You are quite wrong. The whole point of aerobic training to stress your cardiovascular system. By wearing this mask during cardio, you limit the oxygen getting to your tissue. Overtime your body responses by increase your RBCs count, so that your blood can carry more oxygen, thus increasing your cardiovascular fitness.

  • wet naps

  • @omgstoptakingnames we have them on our site: Performance MMA dot com they are $89.99

  • how much do these go for? and where can i get one? do i have to order it online?

  • it looks crazy, I bet it would do wonders if I used it when I went outside jogging. I also bet me wearing it at night & being outside running would get me shot.

  • @jr92503 We recommend the Kevlar vest - sold separately

  • @PerformanceMMA what is the the Kevlar vest and were can i find it

  • @jr92503 I have just read an article of someone jogging and dropping some calendars into a mailbox. They call the bomb squad thinking it was a bomb. Such a fun.

  • Shit man, what does it feel the red nose piece like?

  • I also tried the mask in training (check out my channel). Pretty intense but a good way to strengthen the lungs.

  • whats the black knob on the side? because u are able to unscrew it.

  • what if you puke inside that mask? ughhh... lol

  • @mitsubishidiamante It's not applicable for training

  • I live and train at 8600 feet!

  • @Skydivingkittens lol same here i live at 2,667 m (8,750 ft)

  • I gotta say I want one. I got some shortness of breath during workouts due to hayfever and excessive dust so I reckon using this during my training would give the lungs a useful boost.

  • can you buy the caps seperate i have a bong just like your little thing there

  • @LSjeans4 No, they are not sold separately at this time... and I gotta see your "bong workout"!

  • @PerformanceMMA i really want one of those. does it work really well for improving punching endurance?

  • @codeman95291 It will increase your lung capacity and build overall stamina

  • @PerformanceMMA can this increase your punching stamina a lot?

  • @LSjeans4 haha so do i but it leaks, so mostly it just hangs up and looks awesome/creepy... fyi there are much cheaper, similarly ergonomic, gas masks out there that will reduce your air intake as well, i dont use one cause id probably get picked up for attempting to commit attempted rape on my afternoon run, i also dont plan on fist fighting in tear gas this month

  • I read many reviews on this mask, some done by very educated people. They came to the conclusion that, in order to simulate altitude training, this mask needs to be air-sealed to the face. The mask does not seal, so you can basically get the same effect with a diving snorkel.

  • All u need now is a latex body suit...lol

  • i like it because it helps with your lung power too ive been able to swim further and run further than i use too even though it took a few months and also when people see you in the mask they get pretty frightened especally if your big lol

  • I picked up my mask today and really looking forward to training with it.

Would you reccommend using it for light runs I.E. 2-5 miles?

  • @Dhurak If you think 5 miles is a "light run" you can do whatever you want! lol Seriously, I would try it with some shorter intervals/sprints first maybe a handful of 100's or 200's.

  • @PerformanceMMA Ok, thank you for clearing that up with me. 5 Miles may have been a bit over exaggurated lol. Ill do that and see how it goes from there, thank you

  • PerformanceMMA Are you in to hard body conditioning check out the rod of iron

  • @THERODOFIRON777 what is it? any links?

  • I love how he says "Denver Colorado" haha

  • ANYONE READING THIS, DON'T BUY THIS IS YOU HAVE STRONG LUNGS!!!!! Total drain of your funds if you have strong lungs doesn't help you can get something called "POWER BREATHE" which is waaaaaaay more advanced than this, only thing great about this is that it conveniently sits on your face as you work out. Cheaper alternative would be "ULTRABREATHE" which is more advanced than this by a long shot. This is a great idea just too weak for anyone serious about training.

  • it funny that thing cost about $90 msrp n an isaeli gas mask which this is completely based on cost $15 on amazon n wit a little duct tape wah lah u got urself something that will work just the same if u dont believe it look it up this thing is a rip off

  • I liked it. I trained with it yesterday.

  • "this is horrible, horrible. evil!" hahaa

@ PerformanceMMA: this mask doesnt get all humid or stuffy in the inside while you train does it?

  • @LoneWolfLionHearted Good question. Answer: Anytime I have my supply of oxygen cut off or decreased I feel "stuffy"! lol Check out our post below regarding humidity and fog.

  • @PerformanceMMA

haha I gotcha, thanks for the reply though lol

  • Are these masks dangerous at all?

  • @altermann1ify I would suggest that these are for well conditioned athletes only. As they say in the legal world "consult with your physician before using this product".

If you are out of shape, overweight, heart condition... maybe asthma - an oxygen mask would be better than an elevation mask! lol

  • @PerformanceMMA hahahah oxygen mask XD this made my day!!

  • @altermann1ify yes if you lready live in high elevations and over do it. I live in Albuquerque where it's over a mile above sea level we have guys using these without caution and falling out bad.

  • 14.2 ounces on our shipping scale

  • How heavy is this? I have an M-10 at the minute, pretty heavy and its a fucker for neck pain.

  • This has not been an issue for us. There is a separate compartment dividing the breathing area from the lens and the seal is good. *Note - we are located in Colorado where there is very little humidity. Not sure what a summer in Georgia would do?

  • now hows the fog in the lenses? i really want one. please someone RESPOND!!

  • Disturbed was playing in the background at the end!!!

  • That looks like it hurt...

  • As comfortable as a mask that hinders your oxygen intake can be! lol It is a soft rubber mask, with a good seal, tight and customizable fit. Pretty comfortable actually.

  • How is the comfort level wearing the mask? I wasn't sure from the video whether is has a more plastic feel or a more rubbery feel to it?

  • I was laughing at the start of this video,I think everyone,me included, thinks they are vader, great video guys,Stephen Mair from team Glah Hahn Muay thai in Scotland.

  • We have no background in firefighting, so it would be best to ask someone at your academy for their thoughts or contact the manufacturer directly for more info.

  • so would you suggest this for someone gearing up for the firefighter academy?
