  • The solos are Joe, Brad & Jimmy, in that order. Both times.

  • perry kicks all asses, but jimmy kicks even perrys ass

  • Jimmy Page AND Steven Tyler OMG!!

  • Half of Perrys recordings were done by studio guys

  • I was there :)

  • @ruthmackay100 lucky bastard, man. This rocks so damn hot.

  • @ruthmackay100

    oh fuck!

    really!? u was there?

    soooooooo fucking amazing dude!

  • Fun fact, when Jimmy Page was playing this song live at the start... he played bass

  • Page needs to get off his ass, forget about robert plant and put out some new music. We needs some cool new tunes!

  • @alphadogstudio He said after his website is up (it has been for a month) he would start making new music! :D

  • Now compare this with early Zep's version, damn I miss Bonzo...

  • @bamboosa me too, his snare sound was much more soul reaching

  • steven-"i dont know about you but my dick got hard" haha

  • Page sounding like he did in The Song Remains The Same movie on the wah pedal.

  • yeah, Jimmy & Joe awesome here, but Steven and the Aerosmith rythym section are what makes this kick ass. Aerosmith's version of this tune blows all other versions out of the water. Thank you Brad, Joey & Tom.

  • SWEET, I NEED 0 SHOTGUNS.

  • jimmy page, brad whitford and joe perry, are some of the best musicans alive. brads solos are soo good, but rare to hear. jimmy puts so much life into a solo, its amazing and joe goes sout theyre and plays his fuckin ass off, makes the guitar sing to the crowd

  • the best rock was in the 70's, since then rock changed and not in a good way

  • @123crapgame There's some truth to that, but i think the 80s was where rock hit the highest. then started going downhill in the 90's.

  • @SkyTheGuitarist1995 im not saying your wrong but i think that 70's were when rock was the highest dont get me wrong i love stuff from the 80s but in the 70s stuff from the 60 ands obviously the 70s were still fresh badass

  • @M3TalMan99 I agree with you too man. actually the late 50s and early 60s it were it started, but definately the 70s too.

  • @SkyTheGuitarist1995 NIRVANA? just because the rock u liked faded away doesnt meen it went downhill. the 90's was one of the best years of rock, unique sounding, hard, b.a. and new, something no one ever heard of or expected to hear. 80's.......eh, wat like motley crue...

  • @amisaad214 Motely crue was Glam rock/metal. But I do like everything. And Nirvana is one of my favorites. but after Kurt died in 1994, i think is when it all started going downhill. Don't get me wrong theres a lot still going on great today, but i think rap and hip hop are more popular now than they were back then, when rock was king.

  • @SkyTheGuitarist1995 yeah that is true, there are plenty of gr8 bands out there that mean well and are amazing like cage the elephant, the black keys, white stripes......its just that all this pop is taking over

  • @amisaad214 No like Guns N´ Roses

  • All the rock songs these days are such emasculated, sissified, pussified, queerish

emo-rock, it makes me sick. What happened to the days when rock stars looked good, wrote great songs and learned their instrument to play great solos?

  • I like Joe Perry's style better

  • Old Aerosmith is sick

  • saw them the night before at the marquee, best night of my life

  • brad, jimmy, and joe are all fucking great

  • GREAT!

  • Well, aerosmith is rock basically without the shredding, maybe popcorn has been listening to the later aerosmith which Is bad. Especially I don't wanna miss a thing

  • perry, and especially page has made some of the absolute best rock guitar solos i've ever heard

  • Jimmy Page is amazing.

  • fuck you aerosmith rocks gtfo BITCH

  • @popcornrabbit07 first of all, you spelled page's name wrong. second of all, dont even put clapton in the same sentence as the other two. jeff beck is the greatest guitarist currently alive, and page and joe perry are not far behind. clapton just cant compare. and aerosmith rocks. in my opinion, they are the definition of 70s rock

  • @1JAT1 ...yeah Beck on rare nights was the greatest......but always remember Page on most nights hands down was...............

  • ROFL.

    At the end

"I dunno about you but my dick got hard."

    Mine too!

  • Jimmy Page plays the third solo and the wah solo part, next to the first,by Joe Perry and the second clean solo. then some soloing pieces while Steven Tyler's singing and in the end he plays with wah pedal with Joe Perry till the end of the song. i think that's correct

  • @JimmyPage80 but it think brad whitford plays a solo.

  • you're right i didn't specificate,the clean solo is from brad whitford.

  • This is so badass! I really want to find the full video of this show but I haven't been able to find it yet.

  • i blieve jimmy's solo is 1:53 until 2:05

  • page=epic never underestimate him hes as epic as blackmore to me all great and still great and they can floowe what trend ever.

  • every guitarists has their own style. ones choice of a better 1 more than likely has to do with their chosen band. they all have a stage.....my personal fave is Joe. but Jimmy belongs to Robert and Zepelin. its all good rockers. 70's 4ever

  • Mr Jimmy Page!!

  • it paige

  • Uh, no. It's PAGE.

  • paige?

lol not to be a dick but its page

  • Joe Perry is amazing, and Page kicks ass too. Theyre probally the best guitarist alive

  • sorry to tell you, but eddie van halen inst better then Joe or Jimmy

  • @steelhill95 evh is better than joe but not jimmy, and its close between all of them. theyr all wonderful. malmsteen cant compare though. biggest. fucking. wanker. i think it goes page-evh-joe but theyre all wonderful guitarists (not malmsteen though. when page plays, it sounds like the guitar is singing. when malmsteen plays, it sounds like the guitar is shitting)

  • @1JAT1 evh is a good guitarist, but i feel hes overrated. his style is good, but i dont think hes as good as everyone thinks, but he is one hell of a guitarist.

  • @steelhill95

god dang with this peeps... they are all great!!!!

edie is the god of tapping.

    and he is repected.

  • @steelhill95 Or maybe he's better than you think. Either way, he's legendary.

  • wtf ?Don't talk shit, comparing Jimmy Page and Joe Perry with Vai,Malmsteen and EVH is like comparing apples to oranges, different things...you can't even compara EVH and Malmsteen, and you need to learn something boy,it's not because someone plays fast he's better than the other...Malmsteem never put out rememberable riffs and solos like Jimmy...what guitarist never caught himself trying to play the Stairway to Heaven solo? I doubt Malmsteen could create something like Achilles Last Stand

  • i agree with porkys009, its all true =D

  • malmsteen put out great stuff but hes such a damn stuborn man hes doesnt know metal he doesn't want to hear about band like talica megadeth led zep, offcourse he knows it and learns from it but he doesnt want to admit he learned form jimmy or blackmore wich he obviously did.jimmy rocks so does evh they have simpathie while malmsteen not a bit but still good guitarist.

  • o ok God sorry u dont have 2 get all mad

  • No. Just no. It's Page, man.

  • Page you idiot

  • You also spelt Led Zeppelin wrong! lol

  • Joe Perry is a fucking god and dont forget that bud... Im not putting down Page, but Joe is the best thing to come from the states period. If u still think im wrong listen to the entire Rocks album.

  • page isn't from the states... so you're not putting him down at all.

  • @z71cr the best thing to come from the states was hendrix. nobody can touch hendrix, except maybe jeff beck. but he would rather be messing with his cars lol. which is too bad cause beck is the best guitarist in the world

  • I think Page and Perry are very similar. The thing with the two of them, they can shred like fuck but they don't get obsessed with it. The important thing is they can make a guitar sing and I think they should both be credited for doing this like the pros they are. Awesome!!

  • shred is for metalheads.. jimmy page doesnt need to shred.

  • when comparing page with any guitarist, you must also think of versatility. just because maybe perry can shred a little cleaner on certain solos doesnt make him a "better" guitarist than page. i'd like to see perry play, let alone write riffs such as bron-yr-stomp, ten years gone, over the hills and far awy as good as page

  • I like Jimmy and all but the "versatility" angle is more than a little overblown. Jimmy didn't anything lots of other guitarists were doing at the same time. The guys in the Doobie Brothers toyed with open tunings and acoustic guitars too. Doesn't make them versatile. Page was good simply because he was good, no reason to call it anything else.

  • yeah, you know because EVERYONE was playing with violin bows back then.

  • damn this is amazing

  • Well you're wrong, 09erf330. This song is written in 1951 by Tiny Bradshaw and he also recorded it first... And no Blackmore in that recording, for obvious reasons.

  • you cant hear jimmy playing everyone is louder than him. and they know it and they're laughin at him.

  • its a little hard to hear him cuz they're all playing the same part, but you can hear him. you can hear jimmy's solos really well though

  • It looks like GOD decided to pay Aerosmith a visit.

  • i think that joe is playing an acoustic guitar

  • joe perry is more of a perfectionist than page is. Joe's solo's come out perfectly all the time (except for some of those misses in the original dream on) but if you listen to page live from the 70's, nobody cares if he misses

in my opinion, perry is better, jimmy just has the history and rep to back him up

  • Im sorry but in my personal opinion page owns Joe perry.

  • I wouldn't say owns but I do like Page in that choice. I am fond of both Zeppelin and Aerosmith, but Jimmy wins that one.

  • I'm a fan of both to But Jimmy wins in this matter

  • that say stroll on at the bottom?

  • When Page was with the Yardbirds they performed this song in the movie "Blow Up." However, they named it "Stroll On" for the movie. HTH.

  • yeah, they diddled with the lyrics, but hundreds of groups have messed with the lyrics to "Train Kept A Rollin" for almost 60 years. It's just that kind of basic garage-band thing. And the first song that Led Zep ever played in a gig.

  • awesome

  • lee LOL!

  • wish i could have seen them jam out!
