Amanda Knox was manipulated and abused by the Italian authorities. "She'd gone eight hours without sleep, without food, without drink, without a bathroom break. She was scared. She was confused. I believed Amanda was innocent from the beginning of the trial. I love the USA and all my American friends, having spent many years in this great country. Some Americans should put themselves in somebody else’s shoes though and understand why some Italians are pissed off about the verdict. After WW2, all crimes commited by Americans on Italian soil remain to this day unpunished.

The crew was rushed back to the States overnight, escaping the Italian justice. In 2004 two drunk American tourists set on fire a hotel, causing the death of 3 people.

They too were sent back home by the American embassy in a matter of hours and have not been judged by an Italian court. In 1981 a US fighter aircraft, while dogfighting a Lybian MIG, accidentally shot down an Italian airliner, killing all 90 people on board. The crime is still unsolved since the evidence was counterfeited and hidden. But why Americans are so scared of the Italian judicial sytem??

It doesn’t use the death penalty and it is well known to be the “softest” in the whole European Union, and that’s probably why most eastern European criminals choose to immigrate to Italy. Furthermore, the Italian justice system foresees an appeal trial which is not present in such form in the US system. It is a brand new trial that examines all evidence and facts all over again and by another jury.
